I just got a 1080p 27 inch and I have to agree. It looks odd.

27" is too big for the amount of pixels that 1080p provides - In simple terms, the picture will stretch to meet your monitors requirements, even if the picture being displayed doesn't normally fit... Ideally at this size you would want 1440p resolution.

If you're getting Xbox one consider a 4K 60hz monitor for maximum enjoyment, depending on your setup. If you're sat at a desk aim for 27-28inch. If you are not then consider widescreen or 30+ inches.

Thanks for the reply dude. I get what you mean, I have a 50inch 4K Bravia but wanted something around 24-27 for the xbox one. It's an xbox one x so If i could get the benefits from a smaller monitor that would be good.

The 2nd one. The first is LCD. The 2nd is LED.. colours will be better, plus it's curved. Also look underneath the product and you get another 10% off!! Win win win.

You won't notice 4ms in gaming. Especially if you get your frames to 144hz. USB ports are just a gimmick. For me, not worth the extra screen clarity you'll get from LED vs LCD.

Sorry but that's not correct ... Both are LCD and both are " LED". LED it's just a way to backlit LCD panel. It's commonly missused due to a lot of stupid marketing... Basically your are mixing it with OLED but that's a different technology.

That depends how old the LCD is. Newer LED is not very different. Of course they are both the same tech used in different ways but older LCD are considerably worse in quality than ANY LED. If it's an older model then the lighting will be way off. Not worth the risk.. also I was referring to the colours being better on the Samsung model specifically because Samsung always nail their colours, the lighting method only enhances that.

Sure, but would you pay a premium to have USB ports on your monitor? Even cheap PC cases have like 3 USB 3.0 ports on them.

My PC is in a difficult to access spot because that's what's available near my desk. Very hard for me to get to the USB ports.

Also, when I put my wireless USB receivers for my mouse and keyboard in the computer, the signal is weak because my PC is in an awkward spot and I've nowhere else to put it.

You can buy a USB hub for less than a fiver. That will take care of your USB issues.

A usb hub which costs extra, I'd have to plug into the difficult to access pc, and would look quite untidy sat on my desk. I'm guessing you don't know much about computers so if you haven't worked it out already, that defeats the entire point of why the monitor ports are useful to me: all for extra money. On the other hand, I can just use the ones my monitor has built in and get a clean, functional setup without spending an extra penny.

Lol. I've been building PCs for 16 years, I know PCs inside out. If you can't see the obvious fix to your problem that's on you. I'm not going to sit here and debate with a guy who thinks it's acceptable to pay a £70 premium because his USB is "Hard to reach"

You think you're the only person to ever have that issue? The tech exists and has done for years, if you want to pigeon hole yourself that's up to you, and to debase your point, you ARE spending extra money since the monitor without USB that's comparable is a whole £70 lighter.

Apologies, I didn't realise monitors with usb ports commanded a £70 premium over those without. In which case, this monitor should cost less than half of what it does.

Please use your 16 years of experience in this area to show me where I can get a monitor equivalent to the one in this deal for £60.

The guy above literally just got a 1080p 144hz Samsung monitor for £120 vs the other one he linked which was £209. Only a meager £89 saved. No big deal.

For PC gamers is pretty poor as you're normally sat directly infront of it at a desk. I wouldn't do 1080p on anything over 24 inches, even then it looks awful. I've got a 24 inch 1440p 144hz display that I'm really happy with personally.

For consoles it should be fine.
Edited by: "ollie87" 3rd Dec 2019
It's 14ms, not 1ms
An IPS screen at 1ms for £130 :/ nope, doesnt exist as far as I know, maybe grey to grey but that isnt any use anyhow.
I'd recommend an 4k monitor to play 1080p games if you can not run them at 4k. 1080p on an 2k is just an blur.
