Decent price on this model! I had an older model with almost identical specs and it was fantastic. Worked well with games for a wide FOV, had it for about 3 years. They're really good for SBS windows for productivity as well. It's an IPS panel, so the colours and viewing angles will be really nice. I didn't initally see it had Freesync, but... yeah, it does

FYI 29" ultrawide is equal to the height of a normal 24" monitor.
A 24" ultrawide would be equal to a 19" monitor.

Great price, shame i can't justify the spend right now!

I have the same monitor. In this picture it's next to a 22" 16:9 monitor. These are great monitors for video and audio editing, not as wide as two separate two 16:9 monitors but a great compromise for anyone who doesn't want the clutter and a double bezel in the middle. Once you use this aspect ratio it's hard to go back to 16:9. The 1080 vertical resolution for this size is perfect, 1440 and you'd be squinting or having to rescale, which defeats the object. It's a great monitor and aspect ratio for game play as well. This is a bargain, heat added.

Typical, only just bought this the other day

Yours sounds broken to me. Best off getting your money back and buying a new one...

Ebuyer aren't very helpful giving the size of the monitor, just checked on the LG website and it says;
Set (with Stand)

703 × 213 × 414

  • Set (without Stand)

    703 × 64 × 328
sizes are in mm (W/D/H)

great price OP

heat , how much warranty does this have?
If this is similar to the 29um68p then can overclock the refresh rate to 75 Hz in nvidia control panel fyi
How are the icons on this?
Or do you need higher res?

Mine wasn't this exact model, but they are resizable anyway. Never had an issue, it's pretty much the same as 1080p, the extra pixels on the width balance it back out so it's not stretched (Obviously)

I don't have an example for text and it's difficult to tell in my image here, but if you're happy on 1080p in general and want the extra screen width then this may help -

This pic is my old 29UB55-P 29 - You do lose height on these over your standard monitors though, so bare that in mind with most UW monitors

36450043-8T2TQ.jpgGot this from scan for like £190 as I missed out on Amazon prime a don't mind paying the extra as it is a good monitor and is 75hz remember to put it on freesync even if you don't have AMD
Would you need seperate speakers to use xbox or ps4 please?
VDU's are catching up with telly's these days, looks a great visual tool to be fair.
Does this have built in speakers
Is it a good idea to use UltraWide monitors in portrait mode along side a primary normal monitor? or would UltraWide be overkill for portrait and im just better off getting a standard monitor for my secondary?

PS: The bezels on this LG monitor look too big can anyone recommend one that hardly has any bezels but is similar in spec or better then this?

Bought this monitor recently - it's okay.

For gamers, remember to turn off the power saving mode on the monitor! Leaving it on causes the brightness to fluctuate. Take note, this isn't the same setting as DFC. I honestly thought the thing was broken until I found this out.
Good price for what it is, but dem bezels though!

So 2010.
After a little maths, if you consider this monitor in the 16:9 ratio, you will get a screen size of 21.7" which is a good size for 1080p, this monitor should look really nice for UW at 29".
29" sounds big.

Use a piece of card to mock up the actual size before buying. You'll be surprised at the height.
Can anyone say how the picture in picture works?
That bezel is horrible
Does it have speakers? Height adjustments? Many thanks

It's not . . . .. it's 21:9 and same size as a 23inch inch monitor as pictured here, the 24 inch monitor above and this monitor below

Ps displaywars.com/23-…1x9 here is the evidence

PUBG, Number 3...!
Hello. Here is nice tool to compare. Just choose right ratio and inch size and you can clearly see differences in monitor sizes.

I own older model of this monitor and I ve managed to overclock it to 79Hz in AMD software. Just remember to change refresh rate in windows as well and save it. Monitor itself is great for gaming, films and split screen is helfull for work with documents and pictures. For this price is worth it in my opinion. If you need help with overclocking just send me message. I will try to help you. Have a great day.

Cool, ive been constantly looking for a monitor for the last 3 days and havent been able to find anything worthwhile

I was looking for an ultrawide between 24-29" but with hardly any bezels like the dell infinityscreen monitors, also was looking for a decent refresh rate of atleast 75hz+, around 1-5ms response time, vesa mountable on table arm mounts, g-sync or freesync, VA or IPS panel, Black from front and back, 1x hdmi but also with a display port would be a bonus!

Anyone know of any monitor such as that? My max budget is around the £200 mark.
