The TV is a bit old now, people were rewiewing on amazon back in 2005. Still not bad for the money. I think I would rather stick to a newer TV though. One reviewer said the sound was awful too.

An OK price but the reviews I've seen are nearly three years old now (generally favourable though). Agree with Adam, maybe better to shop around for something more current.

I'm still regretting missing out on the offer of around £300 for the LG 32LG7000 series from PCWorld/Currys/Dixons around Xmas, that one really is top of the range, don't understand why LG don't make more of it, even now would pay £350 for it.

COLD as it is OLD

the sony/samsung equivalent from 2008/09 is only 20-50 more

so no im afraid

LOL at the RRP set by play btw

cold for 50 quid extra you can get a newer version from dixons ]http//ww…als

* Contrast Ratio: 1200:1 - says it all really - ancient !

And what do you think the static (or 'true') contrast ratio of a modern 32" LCD TV is?
Oh that's right, you're just another gullible shopper blinded by those incredible (but pretty useless) 'dynamic' contrast ratio's.

FYI, 1200:1 on a 32" TV is more than adequate.

For £285 this is a decent TV.

* all those specs and they dont even give the HD 720/108i/1080p

Maybe they didn't feel like pointing out the obvious? Given they state the resolution.

not a fantastic tv as the specs arnt fantastic nor is the picture, although i do like the design of the TV

be aware this model came out 2006!

remember you only get a 28 day warranty with play. After that, you're on your own dealing with the manufacturer!

Lol - good point!

Now £399 :-(

Good if you only have £299 to spend on a 32 inch tv.

Lots more better quality set out there for an extra £50 - £100.

Cold, spend another £50 and get something much better.

Oops, £399 now so about to go rather cold methinks (bad luck to the orignal poster)

It's not a bad TV at all - I used to own one!

I paid £800 for it back in Dec 2004. Only has 1 HDMI socket which was a bit of a pain, but it still did a great job of displaying HD content. The other slight draw back (for me anyway) was that the component socket was on the side of the TV and not at the back with all the other inputs which was a bit of a pain with all the cables all over the place.

Can't comment on the sound quality as the TV speaker wasn't used when I had mine. It is an old TV now, so I'd be looking for something newer nowadays....

Given you appear to think you're an expert on LCD TV's, I thought you would be able to read the OP:

Resolution: 1366 x 768

Therefore the set is 720p/1080i

There - wasn't that difficult afterall was it?

:whistling:

I don't mean to rub salt into the wound, but I got the 32lg7000 from PC World for £349 and it is a brilliant tv. It looks amazing in my uni bedroom with full HD games. The only slight fault that I can find with it is that there is not a lot of bass but that is expected with such a thin tv and is being very picky. They are still selling on ebay for £400-£460 and I would definitely pay that price to get my hands on one now if I didn't already have one
