Yes, I know that you can buy cheaper and or bigger TVs at this price, but in my experience LG are much more reliable than most other brands and it's worth paying a little extra especially with the 5 year guaranatee.

sorted byHowever, this Philips is FHD and is £169 if you join the VIP club, no charge for that. It was cheaper not long ago, Box had a Philips FHD too at £158. I think both are better deals.
Otherwise, I will agree with the OP. No point going with unreliable brands just because they are cheaper. I've learned my lesson after getting 32 inch FHD JVC and Toshiba for only £150. Two pieces of junk.

The interface is slow but it does the job; picture & sounds won't win any awards but better than a cheapo TV from ASDA etc
