About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Yes, I know that you can buy cheaper and or bigger TVs at this price, but in my experience LG are much more reliable than most other brands and it's worth paying a little extra especially with the 5 year guaranatee.

HDR
High Dynamic Range expands light, dark, and every colour in between for a picture that's closer to real life. This set supports multiple HDR formats.

HD Ready Visuals

a5 Gen5 AI processor
LG's processor ensures optimised picture and sound quality, whatever you watch or play.

AI Sound
AI sound puts you right at the centre of the action, creating an absorbing atmosphere in any room, so you get fully immersed in whatever you're watching.

Perfect partners
With TVs getting slimmer and built-in speakers getting smaller, choosing the right sound system is more important than ever. Soundbars enhance your TV's sound quality and add that extra audio punch to all your movies, games and TV programmes. More affordable and easier to set up than a full size speaker system, they don't compromise on quality either.

I've seen Samsung 32 inch FHD at £200 and that's a decent brand too. Not sure if any available at that price now.
However, this Philips is FHD and is £169 if you join the VIP club, no charge for that. It was cheaper not long ago, Box had a Philips FHD too at £158. I think both are better deals.
Otherwise, I will agree with the OP. No point going with unreliable brands just because they are cheaper. I've learned my lesson after getting 32 inch FHD JVC and Toshiba for only £150. Two pieces of junk.

It's worth bearing mind that at this price point this tv is likely to be rebadged vestel panel, so brand and name becomes irrelevant.

The main selling point for this set is satellite tuner and Freesat channel guide, it's quite difficult to find a 32" Freesat TV other than this and one or two other LG models, or much more expensive Samsung (their 32" QLED has Freesat iirc)

all my tvs in the house are LG with built in sat as I've run sat cable threw out the house. yes your rite it the built in sat tuner normally used to start in minimum 43inch models. so great deal

Cheaper and bigger? Enlight me please…

Perhaps not. But from my own experience when I've got my Samsung 32 inch full HD, getting a 40 inch+ same model was only £30-50 more. 32 inch are quite niche and expensive in comparison with bigger TVs, but I doubt it you'll get a bigger decent TV for this price or less. Perhaps JVC or Toshiba from Currys, they are often on sale. (edited)

We have the 6300 32" version in our bedroom and chose this just on the basis that it just about fits a recess gap in the wall - otherwise we would have gone for a bigger TV. I would say for me and my aging eyesight, a 32" TV is just about at my viewing limits for distance and reading the TV planner screen etc. The 6300 is a good TV for occasional use and also has the Freesat option which we use.

We had this issue. Our old 32 inch LED needed replacing and the space was enough for 32 inch only. What I've not realised is the newer TVs are more compact, slim and with no bezels. Our new TV looks like a computer monitor now. The limited space we had was sufficient to accommodate a 40 inch.

I paid £199 from Amazon and then had to pay for the extra 3 years guarantee so great price

    Good deal nonetheless.

That one doesn't come with a 5 year guarantee however.

    I bought a 40 inch 4k 3 years ago for £150

Not very good for energy use, better getting one that is more efficient

My parents got this for their spare room to accommodate my nieces.
The interface is slow but it does the job; picture & sounds won't win any awards but better than a cheapo TV from ASDA etc

Spend a bit more and get 1080p.
