which Samsung please? There are a few Samsungs around places near to this price, 32'' and I've been unsure between these and Toshiba.

Guess it's this 1 hotukdeals.com/ite…vi/

Got this at the weekend for £329 from Currys.

It's a cracking TV for the money...

Just remember to up the black level to high, it makes a huge difference.

I must be unlucky got a LG 32

Was thinking of going with a LG myself, but have now decided against it after reading customer reviews, seems to get a lot of complaints. Thinking of going for this one now, what you guys think?

The 32" plasma version of this is getting very good ratings on AV Forums and I bought one for my dad - who is very pleased with it. More money than the LCD (I think it is £380 instore at Tesco or £400 at Richer Sounds) but if you are not a gamer and watch a lot of SD then I think the plasma is a better bet.

I got this TV for £330 from TJ's about 2 months ago and I love it, think the picture quality is very good for general viewing, and its great with the Xbox 360 via component.

Alex.

For SD viewing is plasma better? What about HD?

Chack out the Bargin Basements on richer sounds.

I got a 32" Sony at Christmas for £250. It's on the wall in the kitchen and it's cracking!

Warranty for 5 years 2.

Can't go wrong.

i would advise to buy the Samsung also.

It's not just down to plasma v LCD as to which is better... but in the case of the same manufacturer then plasma should always be better than LCD. This is certainly the case with Panasonic. From the AV Forums it seems the case with the LCD v plasma from LG.... a recent post is from someone who tried 4 top brand LCDs which he returned before buying the LG plasma and being happy. I would go with LCD for gaming though.

Note on the Argos website that this TV was sold previously for £538.39 and currently it is £579.99, also Tesco did have it for £537.97 but now out of stock.

I've tried Plasma (Panasonic) and LCD (Sony & Samsung), and would rate Plasma a much better picture for SD (Freeview/Sky) but LCD better for HD and gaming.

I got one of these for the bedroom just before xmas and it's spot on

The only problem i have is i cannot find a sky remote code for it... grrrrrr

It gets used for Sky HD, PS3 and sometimes as a PC monitor. I wouldnt hesitate buying another.

P.S. If anyone comes across the sky remote code could they let me know please

Samsung Is The Same Tv

I have to say from my experience plasma is better for both.... if possible i shall not be purchasing another LCD again unless its for a pc monitor....

I own the LG 32" plasma and a 9G pioneer kuro.

must live in a bloody big house!

It's quite big but mainly long.

It's perfect, for watching come dine with me whilst making tea!

P.S CDWM = best program, i'd love the voice over mans job!

I am struggling with RS pricing.
The LG is certainly not the best - easily beaten by Samsung (IMHO)
Also, they are selling the rather nice super-thin Hitachi for £260 which is how I struggle to see that this is actually a good deal

It is also only £308 ]HERE and only £10 extra for delivery so this gets a cold from me.

Because the Hitachi has no tuner and only a single HDMI input... I am not even sure if it has any speakers. This would mean relying on some sort of AV system.

The problem with the samsung is terrible sound and bad freeview picture... which the LG beats it down in both departments...

Good luck if you get any sound with an LG:whistling:

i bought the 37" from makro for £399 + vat
really nice pic lots of pic settings
not had a problem with the sound

sorry should read properly mines the 5000 range

I'm biased towards plasma, but my grandparents have this TV, and with Virgin standard cable, I was quite impressed, a good deal, and no problems with the sound:thumbsup:

Personally i think this television is pretty good for the money... much better than the samsung equivalents as far as general picture quality for freeview and certainly sound quality.

Im stuck between choosing the LG or Samsung.

I need it mainly for the xbox360. Which one would you guys recommend?

Choose the LG, my xbox looks amazing on it through component
