Different model on Amazon.
No your one is 1080p the other is 720p or 1366x768.

This is the one on Amazon amazon.co.uk/LG-…1-2

This TV was actually posted before but it was Currys EBay, I've been looking at both the 720p and 1080p ones as they are the same price and spec but I can get the 720p from John Lewis with 5 yr guarantee or this one from Currys with 1 year but it's 1080p, I've had real issues with Currys crap CS over Christmas so I have a dilemma?

Hmm, seems you do, extra warranty vs better specs.

Yeah think I'm going with warranty, it's a bedroom TV so no major need for full HD I reckon, did put up a discussion so that helped.

Ah OK, maybe different if you were using it in the sitting room.
I got this for xmas for ps4 HDR. Not many full HD HDR tv's being made as usually larger.
For HDR on ps4 its amazing.
Definitely worth the £199 price.
Only 50Hz!!!! I'm totally convinced now that TV makers just want to torture anyone who wants to buy a decent 32" TV.... there's always some sort of jarring compromise.

It's actually 60Hz but they listed it as 50Hz for some reason.

Tbh if you're using it to watch regular tv then most broadcasts are only in 720p. If you're going to be using it for blurays and computer games then full HD might be worth it. There will be negligible difference. I've got this tv and the image is about the best you'll get at 32".

WebOS is also the best tv os imo, Has most of the apps you'll need etc.. Can cast your mobile too etc.. great features.

Surprised they're still making 1080p TVs but even more surprised that they're putting HDR tech into them. For most people that watch TV this is a perfectly good set to watch on. And I'm gonna be honest here - HDR makes a much bigger and noticeable difference to the viewing experience than a 4K resolution.

How much 4K content is out there even now? The only 4K feeds my TV gets is from my PS4 Pro and it's not even full 4K most of the time. The rest is from YouTube but even then most things I watch use 1080p as a maximum. On broadcast telly most channels still max out at 720p or 1080i, which is ridiculous in 2020.

Honestly speaking, if you're not bothered about 4K Blu-rays or hardcore gaming then a good 1080p set looks very nice even today. It baffles me that 8K TVs at mental prices are being released when most of the media we consume hasn't even caught up with the technology before it.

Ummm, how can you be sure? I've looked around and can only see the 50Hz being quoted. The official LG listing doesn't even mention framerate at all.

Do you own the TV? I'm wondering if there are any conditions when 50Hz is applied, like, when HDR or 2k up-scaling is enabled?

Yes I do, Can't say I've noticed any motion blur. HDR content is pretty good imo. "Our planet" was very good for example. I guess it may depend on the source too etc.. I doubt you'll get a better tv at this price.

Sorry to ask you, but does your remote have an 'info' button which will show you the picture info? Or maybe could you try and use the settings menu to see if the 60Hz option is available or greyed out when watching? I plan on hooking this up to a PC, so the 50Hz thing would be a massive deciding factor.

Can you confirm the output on the TV though... like this on my Samsung by pressing the info on the remote, or it normally pops up when you turn the input device on.39664726-YkdN6.jpg

Umm, is this a PC or laptop? Just wondering why your desktop res says 768? The active signal res is slightly reassuring is the desktop was at full 1080p.

Also thought I'd mention windows 10 has an HDR setting now and it looks like you don't have it enabled... it's just in the Display settings:39665011-KnBcZ.jpg

Can someone tell me about the free 6 months premium Spotify that come with a currys tv purchase ? If you cancel straight after registering ie before the 6 months trial is up, can you still use it for the remaining trial time. (you know how it is, I'm sure I would forget to cancel before a payment goes out )

Yeah, I don't knowwwww, it's a little bit iffy. It's difficult because I think is a Currys exclusive in the UK so reviews are hard to find... that, and most people seem to be alergic to a TV under 50"s these days. Thanks for your help anyway.

Yes it is. Freeview TV doesn't broadcast beyond 720p or 1080i. If you've got a box with Virgin, BT or Sky they just upscale the resolution. Paying for 4K subscriptions costs a fortune and even then you're not always getting a true ultra HD picture with movie or sports channels. The same goes for 4K Blu-rays which are often 2K upscaled or "faux K."

Gaming and YouTube are the only avenues that offer a good amount of 4K content that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Despite having a 4K TV since 2017 most of the content that gets fed to it is 1080p. Even streaming services like Netflix and Amazon don't have enough good 4K content.

Netflix, Amazon, Apple are cheap. Plenty of 4K
PS4 isn't definitely not real 4K except for a couple of titles. I take it that's what you mean by 'gaming'. Real 4K is an eye opener.
Even 2K upscaled on a decent TV (which you many not have) s on 1080P. 'often', please

Netflix and Amazon are cheap but there's not enough 4K content on either. As for PS4 Pro only having a "couple of titles" well you're way off there as well.

Xbox fanboys like to pretend that a checkerboard resolution is noticeable when the naked eye will never see it. And HDR is a far bigger and more noticeable difference than 4K anyway.

2K upscaled doesn't **** on 1080p either. Let's agree to disagree.
