This is a 1080p monitor so at this size pixels and graininess maybe noticeable depending on your viewing distance.

100 more and get yourself a decent 1440p 144hz mon

and another on top of it will get you a space ship.

I am intrigued by this - could you please provide an example? Usually a 1440p 144Hz of this size will not be an IPS for just £100 more, but am happy to hear otherwise

There are none that are IPS. For around the £400 mark the best option is the MSI MAG341CQ but its 100hz VA (most can overclock to 120). A lot of monitors can advertise a particular refresh rate but their response times are so slow that in reality it ends up falling way short. The ASUS XG32VQR comes to mind as an offender.

This is why I stayed away from super wides as it wasn't worth going over £500 to reach 1440p in the same class. They feel too thin at 1080p.

It's a shame as the rest of the spec looks great. I would advise you go see a 1080p super wide in person before buying one.
Yea I agree for with above, this size u Def want 1440p minimum. If u got good vision and sit close u will hate the picture quality on 1080p....
I got excited and thought it was the LG 34F and then I looked at the price lol...
I’ve the ASUS mg278q monitor, it’s 1440p 144hz. But I’m really interested in an ultra wide.

Is it a better gaming experience?

Can anyone recommend one that’s not overpriced?
1080p at this size is pushing it for sure.
Bought! Was waiting for the AOC 32” Quad HD to come back in Stock at £299 but picked this up with Revolut for £280. Nice one OP!
Hot!! I've used the LG 34UC89G at 2560x1080 165hz as well as the Alienware AW3418DW at 3440x1440 100hz, and prefer the LG. This model is almost the same specs, so it won't tax your GPU as much. I prefer the higher frame rate. Complaining about 1080 at this size is exaggerating, you're benefitting from a much higher framerate than you would get on a 1440p one...

Anyone know of any good 27" ones? I have a 32 crappy monitor looking to upgrade and I think this will be wayyy to big for me
Would rather have 1440p VA non ultrawide at 144hz for roughly the same price.
