Looks a decent deal.

As LED, good contrast ratio, viewing angle and nice amount of HDMI inputs too. Not to mention the Depth equalling just 4cm, or <2 inches.

I have this in my bedroom and watching it at the mo

It's a very nice tv, plus I have my other pc hooked upto it aswell by hdmi and the picture on that is nice aswell, blu ray through it is nice so is sky hd aswell.

Nice.

0.5cm too wide for my wall space. Sick as a proverbial parrot!

Very tempting!

What's the difference between this and proper Argos online site?

it has 1 scart socket on the rear jack panel although this is not mentioned on the listing, the LG website confirms it has one scart socket. hallelujaaah

Thanks for posting this - I've just bought it. Probably not the best tv out there, but I've spent the last 4 months looking for the perfect telly for around £300-500 and haven't found one for that price. As such, at £300 this is a good compromise. I'll try to post up a little review once I've got it - itll basically be used as a monitor as I use a media centre pc for recording/watching tv, and also blu-rays etc...

I'm looking forward to its arrival!

no Freeview HD but looks a great deal - not for me though - damn !!!!

What's the difference between this and proper Argos online site?

I may be wrong but I get the impression it's one of those licensed brand jobs- it's not actually Argos themselves but someone else using the name. Tried them once and ordered a Sony 5.1 surround system- the one that got delivered wasn't the right one. Wouldn't send out a replacement, just suggested I buy another and send the 1st one back for a refund (though by that time it was sold out). Got a refund in about a week so can't complain too much, but was a bit of a faff about.

In hindsight they did me a favour as I ended up with a far better system

I'll anticipate his response: "it's nice"

Looks pretty good, I wish I could tell myself to stop hunting for the absolute perfect tv and just buy a decent one like this but I don't think I'm quite there yet.

i basically have the 32" model of this Tv in my living room

i know panels change in the different size models and yada yada...

but aesthetically i think its really quite a decent (nice) tv for the money

gaming wise it seems pretty good in terms of ghosting and lag response,

when i got mine there is clearly elements of backlight bleeding across the panel and in the corners, but this is pretty much the case with all LED/LCD TV's, the aesthetics at the price point make up for this imo, i jsut tolerate it and couldnt really care less about it nowadays.. when i was buyign if someoen said it had backlight bleeding it would probably put me off.. but you aint buying a top of the range TV here.. even though your spending £300

another thing about these low end LED's is the blacks are pretty abysmal,

but then, this is in contrast to the top spec £1,000+ TV's.. and Plasma's, and the old Kuro i used to watch..

its perfectly fine as a TV and looks good.. over analyse it and you will be here all day

good deal

I have a 42" LG LED in my bedroom and must say it's just the right size. Hang it on a slim wall mount, bury the cables in the wall and it's no different than having a large mirror or canvas on the wall....but more fun!

dewe3

As LED, good contrast ratio

Actually the contrast is a lie - it is the dynamic contrast, which has very little significance.

It is a good deal, but for a little extra money you can get a 42" TV, probably a better choice in the living room.

I own the 42" version and TBH, I'm not that impressed, the edge lighting isn't great with visible corner bright-spots on dark scenes, though playing with the settings reduces the issue.

The white's are again pretty poor for an LED screen, but I guess that's the byproduct of the edge lighting and not back lighting.

Functionality wise its great, playing .mkv's from USB, tons of adjustable options for screen picture

Picture quality is half decent but nothing to write home about

No Long Wave? I'll only buy if I can get radio Luxenbourg on it...

Will it play my 78's?

I have searched and failed to find out if the Freeview built into the TV is HD..?

For the cost, and TV size, this seems to be one of the better deals at the moment..? I could possibly fit a 40 or 42" TV in the alloted space but this 37" one seems quite a bit better than the Asda one previously posted.

What a cracking deal.
VimesUK it isnt freeview HD as far as i know.

I downloaded the manual and whilst it does not seem to mention HD Freeview I would have thought that if it had it then it would have been a feature worth advertising.

I can't find a specific review but some opinions are critical of motion blur and light bleeding at the edges, also the blacks aren't that good. But for the price it is possibly no different to that of others on the market and overall it does seem to be worth its cost.

The 37LE4500 has Freeview. The 37LE4900 has HD Freeview.

I have a better model of this TV and be warned, after 3 mths, rotating the tv on its base makes noises and is very stiff.

Oh No!! That's put me right off!!(_;) Ever heard of WD40??;)

Is this edgelit or backlit? On that site (and couple of others) is says backlit but others say edgelit.

Ordered last night but regretting it now after some of the comments in here. I did check amazon before ordering and all but one review was positive.

BTW Agos are using YODEL to deliver. *Shivers*

I have this Tv... paid the same price from Sainsbury's last year (clearance!) (well less after nectar & staff discount!)
It's a great TV - Looks nice, picture quality is great - Good with Blu Rays & HD Gaming.
I do use external speakers though most of the time, as with all LED TV's... the sound leaves a lot to be desired!
