Thanks apac.

It was instore tonight, there was a pallet at the end of one of the aisles. Good chance other stores that had this TV in stock will be clearing them at the same price though.

saw these in asda jewel edinburgh on sunday,

this is also instore @ ASDA Runcorn

the tv is £400 instore & £500 online (plus you need to wait until its in stock online)

i got me one of those from argos just before christmas, cracking looking tv
cheers

I was in Asda in Leeds (Pudsey) last night - they are currently out of stock but wouldn't sell me the display mdel as they are getting more in on New Years Day - a little heads up for anyone wanting one (I'm sure if you called them they would reserve one for you too)

Absolute cracking Tv got the 42" one about a month ago , fantastic picture!

These deals make me feel so good about the 42" HD Ready plasma samsung for £350 deal from littlewoods direct that i got!

This is pretty warm, but doesnt hold a candle to that deal

I bought one of these from argos with a free 3 year warranty for £399 and a free £10 gift voucher (for some reason they actually sent me 5 of these but I'm not complaining)

The TV looks very smart and the picture quality is superb. I felt that the sound let the TV down as on mine it seems to vibrate occasionally when certain people were speaking - even at low volumes. :-( I solved this by adding a yamaha 5.1 surround system.

Does anyone know if Comet will price match the richer sounds price on this?

Where's Adsda? Don't think we've got any of them by us! ;-)

You could do a price match at Curry's, they are selling there for 538 so 110% price match would be about £13or £14 quid off the Asda price.
Not a lot but every little helps.

Or buy at Argos £434.99 this would come with a 3year warranty though !
If you know anyone who works there you could get 10% off.

lol, missed that.
There doesn't appear to be any stock in Argos and Richer Sounds have it as instore only although probably a better option for the warranty if you can find one.
Some good comments here about quality of the TV and stores with stock, cheers:thumbsup:

argos selling it again this time for just under 386 with 3 years warranty so a better deal than this one with the warranty ,warranty also includes accidental damage

Not sure where you see this, still showing OOS at £435 for me.

I also got one of these from Argos around the end of November (£399, 3 yr war, £10 voucher deal) and can say that it is a superb TV but again the only downside is the sound quality. I'm not usually a lover of loud TV, but I do like to give the music channels a bit of umph sometimes, and as has been said before, the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Still happy with the purchase though, just in the market for a decent surround sound at the minute, although it's not essential.

I spotted the LG: 42LG2000 model 42" LCD at £499.97 in Tesco Extra today

Just managed to get my hands on one of these from Asda Living - Crown Point in Leeds. Pudsey have now sold their display model (although they told me last night that they couldn't) and claim that they are not getting any more in. Crown Point had about 6 or 7 left for anyone who wants one. Just hooked it up and have to say the picture looks great on BBC HD. Need to have a play around with some of the settings though as the sound is a bit tinny to say the least!

Hi mate,

I bought the Yamaha AV63 system which comes with the AV amp and 5.1 speakerss for £199. It's a great system and I use my Xbox 360 for playing DVD's. I use a logitech harmony remote to control it all.

I would double check the model no. mate, as i've already had a look ..:whistling:

My local asda had a 40 inch Sony Bravia set for £400 not sure what model it was, it was not full HD but it was Hd ready though, an older set but a better bargain than this anyway.

It looked like this:

Unfortunately they are out of stock at the moment. Give them a ring to check when they are due back in stock.

there is a big poster in argos Tamworth confirming this, ends 5th Jan - website price is wrong according to argos

Got one today at Asda Metro Centre, display model, they gave me 10% off + another 10% staff discount, my son works part time in our local branch. Total £324 for an excellent TV which the kids had set up in a couple of minutes.
