This one has a true 100hz panel according to the curry website, the other is a 50hz one. If that really is the case, this is by far the better buy as all the other specs seem to be exactly the same.

fwiw, this TV does not have a 100Hz panel. 100Hz processing referred on Currys website probably refers to backlight blinking technology. The model number beginning with a '5' for this LG suggests it is a lower end model. It may be similar in spec to TVs like the Samsung UE40H5x00 and perhaps the Sony KDL40R483.
