Good price and TV. This is the same price as I paid for it from Currys a couple of weeks ago. Although not sure if it still the same price there.

its gone up less than 20 quid..

Was on Best buy for £398 with 15% cashback on TCB.

Still showing as £379.99 in stock.

Such a shame It has only 2 hdmi ports, I need 4

Why Expired?
Still showing for me as £379.99

yup not expired

Great deal on a great tv. Bought this in Oct for £400, so good deal t this price

Was at TJ hughes over the weekend, got the 40" samsung with stand for £359.99, this LG deal was £359 aswell....also had a 40" plasma for £319...

Tesco might sell these for £225 (joking)

I'll order that too

Ordered from currys in september from a post that got very hot! Fantastic tv would recommend!

Jhey

Such a shame It has only 2 hdmi ports, I need 4

Why ?

Surely you just run everything else through a sound system ?

But its not perfect plasma . . . .

Great spec for the money but LG panels have an awful tendency for screen burn-in and dead pixels. I almost bought one of these last week but ended up getting a Sony KDL40EX403U instead for a little more with a 5 year garuntee. Saw both models side by side in the shop and it was obvious the difference in quality.

Wicked TV, brought it back in november at same price

Spend the extra £40 and get a better TV from a decent manufacturer with a 5 year guarantee.
No brainer really!

Maybe a no-brainer for someone with a 'BadBrain'. That is if you think LG isn't a 'decent manufacturer'. This Sony has a bunch of dodgy reviews out there and is generally regarded by people that know what they're talking about to be quite a way off the OP's LG.

Don't get me wrong I'm sure they're both great TVs, but I'd definitely go for the LG and that's not even taking cost into consideration!

Bought this one...........Cant Wait Excellent TV for the money!

Best buy has this, with 20% quidco I believe.

This guy knows what he's talking about. Also, if you really did see the two TVs side by side (which I think is too much of a coincidence so probably BS), but IF you did - there's a good chance the LG wasn't calibrated properly.

I need it for box 360, ps3, sky hd and pc input, dont have a sound system, just use some 2.1 speakers. Mite get a hdmi multiple hub

There was Labour spitting their myths about how the VAT increasing to 20% would end our world as we know it. VAT increases you hardly notice - and at the end of the day I'd prefer a selective tax rather than taxing people who work with a blanket increase on National Insurance.

Deals like this just prove it.

"The LG 32LD450 is a relatively inoffensive 32″ LCD TV. There’s enough to like about it, but its average black level is enough to stop it from getting a gleeful recommendation. For the same amount of money, Samsung offers the LE32C530 which features an SPVA panel (depending on where you live and which variant you get!) with much richer blacks, and consequently, a punchier image. It also has an extra HDMI input."

Cool story bro, but this isn't the 32.

well seeing as there identically spec'd it wont make a drastic difference

Finally took the plunge to replace my Faulty Tosh 42WLT66 (dodgy diffuser) and ordered earlier today and already been dispatched. Also got another 5% through my own affiliate links so around £360 for me!

Will pay for itself as just had £286 from Toshiba for the faulty current set, which I can keep and will be able to sell, so expect this to be a 'free' change of TV for me (or near enough!)

The quote (and your post) is completely irrelevant unless you can find a better Samsung 42" with 3 HDMI inputs for the same price.

If your worried about the number of hdmi sockets, just buy a cheap (about £16) from 7dayshop .com..!

Bought before I even saw this...looks like somebody beat me with the posting!

Supersaver delivery = arrived this morning after ordering yesterday afternoon, good ol Amazon!!!!!!!

EDIT - Even got lucky with an S-IPS panel first time, very happy with the TV so far, especially for the money!

yes you're right Joe - the rise in VAT was certainly a good thing [/sarcasm]

Get serious. Remember that increases in VAT don't only effect the purchase of [arguably] luxury items such as flat screen TVs. They also hit consumers in the pocket with the purchase of almost all of their day-to-day essentials too - many of which will increase in price as a result of the VAT increases.

Additonally, VAT is not a "selective" tax. It actually not possible for an average person to live their life and avoid ever having to pay VAT. Everyone pays it - most people, on a daily basis.

Not that I am siding with Labour on this.. and not that I even mind VAT going up, personally - but you are a fool if you believe that a TV on sale somehow invalidates the impact of a nationwide tax increase.
