Nothing really to do with job but don;t smoke, don't drink much, spend all spare cash at home so....I wish to god I could afford all this stuff when they are latest released elecs and not years down the line when they are tumbling in price.......

Completely forgot all about this one......I bought this earlier today.

hotukdeals.com/dea…080

Looked at and it was NOT refurbished but new, called them up and confirmed and then bought it and got free delivery with code and bit of quidco.....not for me though, bought for someone else....

Sooo tempting as want to wall mount in bedroom and this is nice and slim...

FYI, also got quidco tracking of £27.00

interested in this... does anyone here have one?
i have been looking at reviews and a few mention `washed out colours after 30 mins` and `poor sound` also `visible white lights from the LEDs around th side of the screen`
can anyone confirm if these problems are true or if they are being over criticle?

Poor sound and washed out colours are common on LED tv's , my friend has a top of the range Samsung and at a angle it looks sort of cloudy

I cannot find any reviews for this TV on hdtvtest.co.uk or avforums.com or which.co.uk.

LED TVs are LCD TVs with LED backlighting. For nearly every LED Edge-Lit LCD TV, there is an equivalent normal LCD TV, with the same panel, processor & software, hence similar picture quality.

In this case, the 4500 probably shares the same panel, processor & software with the LG 42LD450... review here hdtvtest.co.uk/new…htm . 'Qualified Recommendation'.

The only obvious difference between LED Edge-Lit LCD & normal LCD is that the case is 3cm - 4cm slimmer. If the TV is to be wall-mounted, it will look sleeker & sexier than the normal LCD equivalent. The 4500 is essentially for 'Fashionistas' ... they who prioritise style over picture quality.

For best picture quality for the available cash, choose normal LCD or Plasma. Choose LED Edge-Lit LCD only if the slim form-factor is a 'must-have'.

or you can use top cash back to bring it down further to about £372

You made the right choice. IMHO you have to spend £150 to £200 more to get a TV with superior picture & build quality than the C580.

For anyone interested in seeing this Comet seem to stock them. I decided against it as I couldn't find any reviews and it didn't look that good when comparing it with the Samsung LE40C580.

very hot deal. But lacking reviews..
any good review link guys?

Also what's the difference in 50hz and 100hz ?

Could only agree on how much better the 5900 is BUT it is almost double the price in most stores bestbuy & comet have it £750ish. You can get it on offer at a couple of retailers but generally it is a lot more expensive.

I can only go by my own experience of LED tv's and I have to say that yes theya re for the fashionistas on looks especially wall mounted but I have NOT found any problem with the vision. I have a Toshiba 32 SL738 not the most expoensive and I also had the 42" version and I have to say I am and was very very impressed with the picture on both. I have "heard" that soem reviews talk about poor sound quality but I have not seen it.

Reviews are good to read but shoudl really be used on a like for liek basis when judging what tv you want at yoiur budget. If the reviews is talking about the difference between the Toshiba SL and the Toshiba WL versions for instance they must be also looking at double the price difference. ALSO for me the most important thing is most of us are not so critical, most if us are not audiophiles.....remember if we listened to only the reviews of the professionals we would all be driving £80k plus cars recommended by Topgear as every other car is crap.......

supernova hot!
