Whats the difference tv buffs ? Thats the one I've been planning on buying the week up to xmas. Don't need freeview HD which amazon also has that same model with that for £609 But save money and get same just without freeview HD.. Whats the difference between these two thou ? is the one I posted abit better so worth the abit more money ?

The LED TV featured on Amazon is 100hz and the contrast ratio is much better than the one in Dixons. For the extra few quid i would go for the one on Amazon...(_;)

Yeah I saw on the specs that the contrast ratio was decent amount bigger Also both models (freeview and the freeview HD both have good reviews on amazon from people too)

Thanks, I'll carry on with my plan to buy the one thats stored in my basket

I just bought the 100hz one and it was delivered today and already have it up and running !!!!
I paid £549 (free delivery).. I did post the deal up on here but nobody gave it a looking :0( and it was my first ever deal...

But yeah the set is great have it hooked up to my sky HD+ box and the picture is very crisp and clear.. didn't have to tweak settings, great straight from the box. Haven't tried it with my xbox yet but heard this one (LE5300) has no lag and games run sweet...

Can you tell me what its like with fast moving action, or football?
And the scrolling bars you get on the likes of Sky Sports News?

After reading these i'm thinking a 50Hz set would be better?!

Fast action seems smooth to me, There is a function (Tru Motion) which you can adjust. I had a lil play with it and it does vary the smoothness quite a bit, handy feature, I just set mine to about half way (seems more natural).
Just had Sky NewsHD up and the scroll bar is smooth and not jerky at all, I'm very happy with it so far :0)
Have had the set powered up for about 5 hours, so far so good.

Thanks for the feedback

Do bear in mind that this is an LCD TV with LED Backlighting and not a true LED TV. - If of course that metters to anyone.

NO....

Its LED Edge lit..! But they all are nowadays - do your research.

LED "Backlit" TV's are few and far between and are normally £1000+

Most TV's Sony,Samsung,LG, Sharp etc 2010 models are "edge lit" not full "back lit" (around 3cm thin) - If anyone wants to know more then just google LED "Edge lit"

So whats the benefit over an existing LCD screen?

So you can tell your friends you have an LED TV.

I am tempted by this, but really want the 5900, good deal for a 4500 though

Slimmer (typically 3cm or 4 cm)

Much Lower Power Consumption - around 80w (LCD's tend to be in the 150 range)

Really tempted for this. Wanted a 50" but cant see any decent deals for full HD with this sort of connectivity

Can you play films off a USB stick with this TV?

hi ive just ordered the le425900 from best buy , its up for £629.99 but used code atv4 which took it down to £605 , then gone through quidco and the cashbacks tracking at £90 so if it goes through got the le425900 for £515 with free delivery , just thought it might help

"atv4" code is not working in bestbuy website for the le425900. any other code available??

sorry its tva4

I think you will find that back lit LED is not even an LED display, it is LCD! Your text here
