Seems like a decent price to me. Cheapest it's been on Amazon anyway.

Gets a 'Recommended' at HDTVtest: -

EDIT - Cheers to the people who pointed out this can be bought for £499 at Richer Sounds too. And John Lewis should price match with their free 5 year warranty.

However, if you do want to but this TV from Amazon you can also claim a £50 Amazon voucher after paying for Lovefilm for 2 month. So a £50 voucher for a £16 outlay: -

Same price at richer sounds and ebuyer. Not that hot. Richer sounds £550 with 5 year warranty
Wanting the 37" version of this TV but holding it's price.
Yet another poor amazon sale price. And no 5 yr warranty and with no cash back offers why shop there.
It's not like last year they had much better deals on they're really not doing well this year at all.
I have the 47" version of this TV and I have to say that it's a good spec and stunning picture for the price. £499 seems about right price wise tho.
can you go on the internet on the tv? sorry if its a silly question!!

Yes you can with either an ethernet cable or wifi dongle.
can you watch videos from a website or is does it require flash player?
So is this a real LED or a backlit LCD l
this is backlit (LED backlight) LCD. For true OLED you will pay more like £6499

It plays youtube content just fine i've not tried it with anything else.
Says in the description that it has built in wi-fi but others have said you need the dongle. Can anyone clarify?

It does not have wifi built in, it is wifi ready though, meaning you have to run an ethernet cable from the back of it or buy an lg wifi dongle, which cost around £25-27.
I've got this TV just recently. From Richer Sounds for 540.00 (using online voucher 10 pound off when used instore) only 40 quid more and gets you 5 years warranty. Really can't doubt this TV a single bit. Beautiful picture and stunning 3D features. Also get free 50 quid worth of movies to stream from acetrax (which is a app that has loads of new movies on! such as the new batman!) All other smart features are good such as skype, youtube, twitter, facebook, loads of games. The lot. Really really fantastic TV. Buy from Richer Sounds though
I bought the LG 42LV550T £500 some time ago forbut the LG 42LM620T is much better and at this price... a real bargain. Does anyone want my old 42LV550T so I can get this one
its around £500 in richer sounds now and £550 in John Lewis but just asked them to price match and 5 years warranty for £50 making it £550 aswell, so John Lewis or richersounds? so tempted!!

Get from Richer Sounds. I price matched John Lewis and just because they agree to price match doesn't mean they can do it! I've been told half the time they say that price matched items are not in stock or will take a while to deliver. Honestly for a good reliable service with 5 years of the best warranty go to Richer Sounds 550.00 print off the vip voucher online which gets you 10 pound off a in store purchase over 100 pound, go into store with it. Come home with a fantastic tv for 540.00 with 5 years warranty
go to RGBDirect .. they have this offer going on for £499 too. difference is they have a "brick and mortar" store too which means John Lewis and Richer sounds both should price match it. John lewis would even throw in 5 year waaranty included in it as well! much better option than amazon...

Can any owner advise what the picture is like watching footie through Sky 3d. Thanks.
This TV has a plethora of problems. Research the AV forums and you'll see that you're making a massive risk buying this TV. Don't want people wasting their money so I want to bring this to your attention.
Please note, I got John Lewis to price match this tv which is superb and they did. I purchased this from JL for £570 on December 24th, it was delivered on December 29th, absolutely amazing Tv. Richer sounds were selling for £499 including delivery, John Lewis price matched it and they refunded me £70.05, so I got the tv for £499 INCLUDING DELIVERY AND 5 Year warranty from John Lewis, u can't beat that and it comes with 4 pairs of 3D glasses same as richer sounds!!!!!

Better to listen to a guy who only watches "footie", perfect sense.
I got this from John Lewis at 499 with a richer sounds price match a few months back. It's a good tv once you sort the picture settins out, but the audio moving out of sync with the picture will happen randomly regardless of settings, but a quick stop and start tends to fix it. It's refusal to let to you alter brightness properly of its app centre can be a bit jarring, also it's got acknowledged issues with turning on without audio when it was turned off while on a hd source (or sometimes due to hard drive recording glitch ing) but that's really the only issues I've hit. Minor annoyances against a tv with a really good panel.

Simplinked to an lg 3d blu ray, meaning no need for a blu ray remote, which is helpful.

I want the 55" version of this SOOOOOOO bad

Just can't justify spending a grand on it at the moment

I have the 670T, which is the same screen I believe but has the wifi/magic wand/chrome finish etc.

The screen is absolutely brilliant, it did apparently have a lot of issues early on but frequent firmware updates have fixed most, if not all of them. Obviously individual sets will still have issues, as do all TVs. Works perfectly with my Sony Blu Ray surround sound, and the Simplink allows me to control it with the TV remote.

When you buy it, you will need to change the settings, as the SD image is terrible on the default settings.

Extremely happy with mine, and the tiny bezel means it's overall the same size as my previous 37" Samsung

I will however say the main reason I bought the 670 was because I thought this model looked a bit cheap in the flesh, compared to the "high gloss" images provided online

Motion handling on this set is awful, so would avoid if your an avid footy fan!

AV123. were selling for £449.99 ( now up to £469.99)last week i asked John Lewis to match they said no as their shop is on a business park !.. ( i felt they are splitting hairs, still a shop)
I had this TV and it was absolutely awful. Obvious banding, really bad viewing angles, terrible washed out blurry 3D and the 3D can only be seen directly in front of the set and pretty bad backlight bleed.

LG couldn't repair it and I exchanged it for a panasonic.
I got the 670t as well, albeit the 47". Brilliant tv. No issues of ghosting/banding works fantastic with Sky HD and xbox and plug in my 1tb HDD to play 10gb MKVs. I went for this as the finish of the TV looked better- pretty much no edging and better quality.

Don't listen to that nonce. I actually have this TV (not the model higher up or not the model below) and it's a fantastic piece of kit. The footy looks awesome! it's clear and it really jumps out at you!

Don't listen to the idiots that think they know it all about TV's. I've got this TV, it's great for football and i'd recommend you to get it!
Also this TV has had lots and lots of updates since the AV problems... it's not perfectly fine
Hi all, I am in the market for a 55 inch (or bigger) I was considering the same model for £999 at currys, but it doesnt seem like a really good deal, any sugeestions. I want passive 3D ideally, But was also considering Panasonic plasma. So confused oO

And of course it has to be deal.

Hi Guys,

Shall I go for this LG 42LM620T @ £500 or the LG 47LM620T @ £600.
In other words, is 5" bigger worth £100?

Forget about the room size and seating distance.

Regards.
I got this delivered today!!!
Excellent TV!
I have the 47 version and its great, left it on the firmware it shipped with - none of the problems people have mentioned. I'm a self confessed geek and av forum member for 7 years. I managed to get richer sounds to give me the 5 year warranty for 599 (just told them I'd get it price matched at JL if not).

If you are at all worried about peoples comments then go see this TV in the flesh!
