LG 42LN543, nice price

Nice just waiting on a good 32" deal to pop up with headphone socket, 1080p, low input lag and no buzzing from the PSU but it seems too much to ask

reserved one from Stafford... took back a blaupunkt due to led bleeding and will be taking the poloroid back shortly due to being just poor....I wanted a decent brand following all that and this will do...

Would this be good for a PS4?

Any discount codes?

The description states "100 Hz processing rate" but then the product details show the motion rate as 50Hz. Any idea which one is true?

Nice spot, but I can't find anything on this tv, so not sure what to make of it.. Taking a chance perhaps?

am not seeing LN543V elsewhere ..is it a typo.. is it actually LN540V

Pretty sure they have put the wrong item code, shouldn't it be LG 42LN540V?Priced at £329 on Amazon:

is it really LN543V ..am not seeing such model elsewhere.. is it actually 540V ... is it a typo ?

what ever am going for it... I don't see a better option for this price

Looks like it's actually 50Hz, pretty poor IMO. I wouldn't settle for anything less than 100Hz.

The 50hz might be a typo on currys site as tv's same as a 540v which says 100hz on both

Nice one OP, was looking at the Samsung Ue40eh5000 in Sainsburys for £299, but reckon this is better, I've already got a 32in LG and love it and the sound is good too (that's a CFL rather than LED though). Reserved one anyway, don't pay till collection so if any other bargainds pop up can still change my mind, assuming Currys don't ass up the reserve and collect like they did when I tried to buy a washing machine last year, should be good.
Don't forget Topcashback for £3.66 back.

Don't Currys have a habit of insisting on unique product codes so that they don't have to price match othere stores?

is this model (the £279 currys offer) better spec than the LG 42LN5400, Please can someone help me with this, and if it is better spec please tell me in which way, thanks

If it is Christmas model LG42LN543V which model does it compare to and other than the Freeview being HD is it a better spec Picture wise than the LG 42LN5400, Please can someone help me with this.?

Is the Christmas model LG42LN543V better spec than the LG 42LN5400, … Is the Christmas model LG42LN543V better spec than the LG 42LN5400, please tell me the differences, would really appreciate it thank you, but mainly just want to know if it is a better spec !!

I think the person who said it's a Christmas Model is just being sarcastic, why would a manufacturer waste their time doing such a thing?

This is the 42ln540v model, they just seem to have mislabelled or put the 3 in for their own purposes

I checked currys and they have 540 listed @ 329... Why would they have it at 2 diff prices?

Cheers for that
So please can you confirm apart from being Freeview HD is it a better picture Quality than the LG 42LN45400v as i am so undecided between them so if someone could point me in the right direction i would appreciate it. Cheers

This is interesting it just worries me that no other not even LG site has this listed, so if it also lists 42LN540v, what is this version but can someone tell me if its better spec than 42ln5400v

I am pretty sure they are both the same TV but they might have slightly different frames or stands so Currys don't need to price match ...

Yup spot on, DSG get unique product codes from manufacturer's, so they don't have to price match.

But how come they can have different frames or stands when they are selling a new piece?... Are you saying LG makes this series for them or is this TV refurbished?

Think it's still ongoing, but if you've got an O2 contract or someone you know has then there's normally a £10 off £100?

There's also the "buy gift cards from Morrison's and save money on fuel" saving too, if you were going to buy this anyway?
(you get 5p off a litre for every £50 you spend on gift cards. 25p a litre if you spend £250, which is an extra £15 saving on my car if I bought the giftcards and then filled it ;))

Looking between the 543 and 540 on Currys website the 540 has Smart functions well 1 smart function in the form of Divx playback. Also if you read the info of both TVs it looks like the 540 has a light sensor which basically adjusts the brightness of the TV for different room conditions. So id say the TVs are the same apart from these, same picture/sound quality etc.

I've got this TV and it's not great. There was a firmware update on lgs site which seemed to help with image quality and color balance. Sound is all over the pace when using a sky box. auto adjust doesn't work well. biggest issue is the lack of audio outputs and limited to 2 HDMI ports.

What audio outputs does this have as I'm looking to get a soundbar to go with this? The listing doesn't specify any.

I have the lg sound bar and. It's awesome

've found this online.. might be some use, they're clearly all similar variants....
