£379 for a great TV from John Lewis with their 5 year guarantee included.

Also includes 3 months Sky movies pass and 7 Sky Sports day passes.

Doesn't include the magic remote with this particular model, however I believe the android and apple apps for these TVs are very good.

Bargain. I bought the 39 inch for Christmas from john Lewis for £399. Great picture except can be quite bad when dark or black. Sound is not good

I just bought this yesterday for same price at argos. delivery on monday hopefully it's decent it took me ages to decide which tv to buy.

How does the freeview HD work?

Do you need an arial?

Unfortunately this 2013 tv doesn't have media link, so no plex unless dnla which isn't great

Typical, ordered this yesterday for more! Just called them and it's too late to cancel so I have to call them up again once I have the tv delivered and then they can refund the difference.

Check your rights on this. I think that 'distance selling regulations' are on your side. I think that you have several days to change your mind and return goods (not sure who would have to pay postage / delivery costs though).

It's £369 at Richer Sounds

JL refund the difference anyway. Just accept the delivery, get your TV setup then request the difference back.

If that's with a 5 yr g'tee it's a good deal imo.

Richer Sounds 5 year guarantee is an extra £36.95 on top though....

Many thx for the info.
Hooray for JL final price match....
£379 for 5 years means 21 p per day, which is quite manageable.
Just ordered.

Cracking price for a brilliant TV, you are the Dogs for finding this Cats! :-)

The only picture better than this one, is the same TV with a bigger screen!!!

PLUS.. it has WiDi that is WIDI built in.. check intel for details

This is a great screen for the money. Very happy with ours.

No its not - thats £37 extra......

anyone got a link to the android remote app?

See product reviews...

richersounds.com/pro…75v

i.e. bottom line is... IF the smart apps are important to you (i.e. iplayer, od, etc.) give this TV a miss! I considered LG for my TV but after a bit of research best to dodge LG (for now) when it comes to smart TVs.

google it? there are two apps, available, get the 2013 one.

Thanks all, I'll just accept the delivery on Tuesday and call them again. I'm sure that it will be pretty simple, he said they keep a tracking of all the price changes but I took a screenshot of it at the lower price just in case.

I'm looking for a TV with the same functionality (LED, Smart with wifi) as this but with a smaller screen, say around 32". Similar quality, and hopefully a lower price If anyone sees any bargains let me know. I'm off to trawl the John Lewis site now.

hot deal

looking for a 50 inch

preferably at same price :-p

this tv does not have built in wifi, it requires an adapter which costs around £40

Thanks

I have the 47" model of this. Great TV. Got it setup to my satelite dish as i dont have a aerial.

My 47" has wifi built in. Connected to my superhub 2 with 5ghz built in wifi

@1994wolf, it does have wifi built in. Check the specs.

Any current owners noticed how shiny the screen is? Any issues with reflection? Had a look in currys and seems the LG has much more reflective (glossy) properties than say the samsungs which tend to be a little bit more matte. I agree thsi is a cracking deal and when you read all the connections Widi and extras it comes with great deal from JL, but don't really want to have to draw the curtains every time switch this TV on.

Anyone know if I order today, how long it will take to deliver? I go back to work on the 2nd.

Samsung UE32F5500? Now down to £299.95 at Richer Sounds£299.95 richersounds.com/pro…500 Does anyone have any experience of this TV as I'm very tempted. I want a TV between 30 and 36"

@synet. The earliest delivery date is the 2nd unfortunately.

£399 at Currys with the Smart Remote.

We just got that one as the nearest JL or RS would cost more in fuel to get to than the difference minus the Smart Remote and we didn't want delivery.

Although it's not as good as the £1000+ panels, it's a million times better than the LCD/Florescent Tube lit TV it replaced.
The lack of 100Hz+ is a positive for us, as those make us feel sick and dizzy with their "Motion Plus" style things.

Connected to a PC, it's very clear (like a good quality 1080p monitor) and it keeps up fine with gaming (set the Graphics to Vertical Sync and the refresh rate to 50Hz for smooth gaming!).
The STB control (using with a TiVo) via the Smart Remote is ok... but beyond channel surfing, you still need the TiVo remote as it's fiddly otherwise.

The picture options make a huge difference and you get 2 additional custom presets for those that like to fiddle.
Standard seems best for PC/Console use (Game makes everything darker but there is no noticeable improvement with the panel keeping up with games as it keeps up well already).
Vivid looks great for general TV viewing and makes everything but sport look more realistic in my opinion. sports look a little over contrasted on vivid.

The sound isn't amazing but it's certainly as good as panels of the same price.
Sound lacks depth, but the surround sound effects and the wall mount/stand settings help.
You could live with the sound ok, but you really want a Soundbar.

Inputs are great... plenty of those!
3x USBs for some bizarre reason... can't imagine using all those.

The WiFi part works well with non-LG smartphones... have been able to easily stream HD video directly from a Samsung S3 with 1 button from the S3s built in video player.

it isn't as thin as most LED tvs (in fact, nearly as thick as the LCD ones) due to the "Directlit LED" configuration... the LEDs are at the back of the panel instead of the sides... I think this looks better picture wise and closer to true LED but that's a matter of opinion and taste. At least the surround is very neat and small which looks good from the important bit... the front!

Fits a 200x200 VESA mount which meant our 32" max LCD mount could hold the TV fine... It's weights a little less than the average 32" LCD as well.

All in all... 9/10 for the price.

I bought the 39" one in Sept. We love it. Looks good, sound hasn't been an issue for us, we have used Netflix & LoveFilm and I bought a magic remote for Christmas.

Any info on how plex works on this?

Just bought one, free delivery on 2nd Jan. Cheers OP.
