Head added. I am looking to buy a HD TV nd this fits thr bill. Hope the deal doesn't expire while I make my mind up. Still need cabinet as wall mounts are not an option for the fam.
This looks like a bargain, really tempted to replace my 40 with this.
Can anyone recommend a nice cabinet pref under 50 quid

Just purchased it myself! (from sainsbury's incase i need to return it)
Any reviews on this? Not as thin as some of the more modern ones, but if the picture quality is fine, I'll jump at the chance to save £150 as I dont need or want 3D or smart features.

plenty of customer reviews on sainsburys sainsburys.co.uk/sol…tml and its not as slim because it uses the more expensive 'Direct LED' technology which makes the picture better

Any thoughts re this vs the Samsung UE40EH5000 from Very at £325. Appreciate this is 2 inches larger and 100Mhz vs 50Mhz, but struggling to find good technical review or comparison online? Also just checked my order status from very and now saying "latest delivery 1-2-13" so not looking likely before Christmas!

just customer reviews, the 100Mhz vs 50 is a massive difference, especially in games or watching sport. The customer reviews are very favorable tho, y dont you just order from sainsburys? My estimate is 3-5 days

Thanks for feedback. Anybody know what the Audio Out options are on this? I can't seem to find consistent tech spec online (not even listed on LG UK website, or at least I can't find it).

Also does "Country of origin: Poland", on Sainsburys details page, equal poorer quality panel, which seems to be the warning on here with many of the cheaper '[re?]branded' TVs?

Would have bought this but doesn't seem to have freeview HD, just basic freeview. May go for the samsung option instead.

This deserves more heat, just ordered.
they are all New for 2012 goddammit
nooooooooooo. I just bought this tv a few weeks ago for halo 4 :(. Dam it new I should have waited but I can tell you it is an amazing tv. Best I have ever had looks great also because there is a small border around it which makes it look bigger. Only negative thing it has is no headphones jack connection, found that pretty weird.

That is debatable. Most 'expert' reviews of the lighting technologies differ on which is best, and even manufacturers don't agree.

Direct LED is widely seen as superior, but the benefits arnt enough to justify the extra cost, hence many manufacturers such as panasonic not using it
Thanks, just what i was looking for

I have two LED backlit TVs and they are both matt. I thought it was Plasmas that were always glossy these days?

Yeah there's not one.I like to put my headphones in at night to not wake anyone up so I bought on amazon a SODIAL(TM) 2 x RCA Male / 1 x 3.5mm stereo Female,Y-cable, 6 inch Cable to compensate for it.

For some reason the new led's for this year don't have the headphone socket very strange.

I think they figure (wrongly) that these are family room tvs and so headfones not really used

Ah thanks mate!
This TV would've been perfect if only it was 5 inches bigger. Why does the 47 inch version have to be £490? 47 Inch LED

So guys I need a little help, I'm definitely in the market of a new TV which has to be 47/50 inch, has to be 1080p, would be nice if it was Smart, not too fussed about 3D, but my budget is £500. What I'm asking is which is better the 47 inch version of this TV for £490 47 Inch LED or the 50 inch plasma for £500 50 Inch Plasma?

Any help would be great. BTW, heat added!
