Good TV for occasional viewing in a spare room. Heat from me.

Why would you have a tv in a spare room for occasional viewing ...have you ever seen this tv in action why dont you just say hot or cold instead of making out you have a mansion with several occasional rooms...

This is the first ever deal that I have seen that has gone hot with no one commenting upon it.
The high spec models with 4K have been this price in past.
I thought it was the 4k 630v and was like then as I missed the Amazon offer for £250 couple months back

It all depends on your needs.
If most of your content is 1080p and you are still upscaling SD channels then 1080 TV will look better.

For a 43" screen if you sit more than 10 feet away you'll never notice the difference between 1080 and 4K anyway, as you'll have hit the limits of human eyesight.

For those that disagree and say their 4K TV looks better than their old 1080 screen over long distances, it's not because of 4K.
The more expensive 4K sets such as QLED or OLED are simply better at colours/contrasts.
This is the real base model with only 2 x HDMI but will do the job on a budget

I got the model up from this in January at the same price. It was ok but whites were more yellow and no matter how i tried to calibrate it, it didn't improve. Got rid. My 6 year old 1080p Sony set was better

From a 60yr old codger who lived for many years with fuzzy monochrome pictures and two channels, then couldn't sleep for days when we got our first colour tv, an HMV with so little contrast you needed a dark room to view it at all, though we now had three channels, I'm afraid the spoilt attitude of some folk is beyond comprehension. That HMV telly was £250 in 1977, over 40 years ago.
This telly deal gets serious heat from me.

Live in a bedsit by any chance ?
Should be here tomorrow - will post what I think of it....
Hi, my old Tesco technika 39 inch’s tv has broken and I’m looking to replace it. Im budget conscious and just need a TV- not particularly bothered by specs as long as it has a scart and HDMI lead.

Is this this a good one to buy as the deal is still on to get it to under £250. Or should I get the Hinsens one that was posted today? Which is better please?

There is no scart on this TV, just 2 HDMI ports.

The TV is excellent, nice thin bezel although the TV isn't the thinnest depth wise. It's incredibly light and feels a bit flimsy. The stand is functional but a little wobbly.

Picture is solid, decent clarity and colours. Viewing angles are excellent as it's an IPS.

Sound is clear for speech and music

The smart functionality is good, WebOS is fluid and initiative. Tried Youtube and it works great.

The remote is small responsive and just fine.

The TV is in my son's bedroom and will be used for console play mostly. The game mode is good with no noticeable input lag or movement judder.

There is a small amount of banding on white slow moving images but nothing terrible.

Overall I'm stunned how good the TV is for £249 and comes highly recommended.
