Thanks for sharing your first deal post @Azwilson , £30 reduction since previous thread some member feedback posted *here
I've got this one in the study and it's a great TV, really happy with it.
My god that’s a bargain kid
Just checked the Specs and it's definitely worth the price, thnx for sharing
8 bits + FRC to achieve the HDR so not a 10 bit HDR panel, but kinda to be expected at this price.
4 x HDMI 2.0 (ARC; CEC) niccce

Aaaaaaannnnnddd fake 4k unfortunately. RGBW - 2880 (RGB) + 960 (W)

Can't find any info on how bright the backlight is, but I'm sure it will be the standard 250/350cd/m2 and thus no where near bright enough to properly show off HDR content.

I'd only go for this if you're gonna be sat further back and thus loosing detail anyway, you won't notice the fake 4k res, then again a lot of video content in 4k is no where near as detailed as it should be, like the early 1080p stuff. Would be a bit crap used as a PC monitor with RGBW so that's out.

Over all not a good deal due to screen compromises. But for johnny everyday who's probably not even watching 4k content on it, or is but from crappy streaming low bitrate sources, it's probably fine. If you want to watch 4k BluRays then you'll want something better.

Still gonna look much better than 1080p TV's but not as good as a proper 4K telly.
Seems decent specs according to lg website. Similar specs to sj810 apart from not having Dolby vision and the nano cell display. Seems great for the price. 🔥

The spec says hdr10 - does that not mean 10 bit panel? Hard to find a true hdr model when the advertising for it is so misleading!
"To perfectly meet your needs we work hard to bring you items not available anywhere else. An ‘Exclusive’ item can only be bought from our website and/or stores, either because:

  • We have exclusive rights to sell it
  • It’s produced to meet our unique specification
As this item is currently exclusive to us, we can’t offer price comparisons for it."

Anyone know which TV in the real LG range this equates to? Don't want to get caught in one of those Curry's 'change the model number' scams and would rather buy from JL or Richersounds for a longer warranty.

If it costs over £500, the I agree with your comments but it's £369. What do you expect?

Meaning it can take an HDR10 signal. But it uses an 8bit panel with FRC to approximate the effect on the screen.
Like how those 1366x768 TV's would say 720p, 1080p, on the box and spec. Obviously the 1080p signal was downsampled to fit the screen but because it could take a 1080p signal they still slapped it on the box.

You need to look up the specs to find the truth usually. They say it's 4k, but their interpretation of 4k, using a cheaper RGBW screen.

Hence me saying expected for the price. But If you care about displaying native 4k content you shouldn't settle for RGBW Faux K. There's been similar priced Hisense sets with the same spec but a proper RGB 4k screen.
This (see link below) TV from Currys is £30 cheaper and has the same spec (minus the Harman Kardon speakers and Magic Remote):

currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

Currys also currently have a deal on where you can get £100 off an Xbox One X when you buy select (although it seems to be all) 4K TVs. You have to use the link on the page to the console for the code to be valid.

Brag? are you 7? The comment is to delve further into the details so …Brag? are you 7? The comment is to delve further into the details so people can better make a decision on whether or not to buy it, this is a website for buying stuff for a good price, not a school playground. I'm still using a 6 year old 1080p set that's not 3D. It's satisfactory for my needs and I'm happy with it.Pointing out the pro's and cons of the set to help people decide doesn't mean I need to hunt down a similar set for them.

Shame. With your apparent knowledge I thought you could lead the ignorant like me to the best set. I'm not price sensitive - I'll happily pay more if I get more for it but don't like being ripped off. I am wary of 'cutting edge technology' though - it'll be a fraction of the price soon after when it's just established technology.

So, what would YOU buy to be happy with it?

Probably a Hisense one. But since I'd rather wait a few more years till there's more content, and better screens like the promising sounding QLED ones, I wouldn't buy one right now. Unless it was a deal too good to pass up.

Are they genuinely decent? - sounds like a new third world brand. Happy to be told how wrong I am

They're actually owned by the Chinese Government.. So don't get one with a camera.
Relatively new, at first I thought they were gonna be like Alba or something when they popped up. But a lot of their TV's are actually around mid tier, like LG.
I can't seem to find input lag info for this model, game mode or otherwise. Anybody got any idea?

My mate is a proper brand snob (sorry if you read this, but you are and you know it!), and he said Hisense are brilliant, even more so considering the cost. I'd take that as a glowing reference

RGBW avoid like the plague...
Well I have been looking at this one for a few months, finally gave in at got it from Currys yesterday. Asked if they would knock a bit more off and got it for £345.

Looks good in the silver, picture excellent so far with SD, 1080p and 4K. Sound not bad, certainly good enough.

Love Web OS 3.5 interface and magic remote.

Well worth the money.

Or don’t. Most people would not tell the difference unless they had a magnifying glass and even then... the quality is there to see, a 50” rgbw lg is just as clear a picture as any other 4K tv.

You don't need a magnifying glass to notice the washed out, dull-looking colours.
