Looking around for a 4K TV ready for when I get the new XBox and saw this. Seems a great deal as it's over £700 most other places I've searched.

Product blurb from Amazon:

Flagship LG UHD TV 4K. Enhanced multi HDR with Dolby Vision delivers incredibly lifelike picture canvassed on an IPS 4K display. Ultra surround and LG Smart TV webOS with Freeview play controlled via a magic remote complete a fantastic television housed in an aluminium frame design.

A depth of detail. Ultra HD 4K resolution is four times that of full HD producing brilliant clarity and vivid details that amaze, even when viewed up close. This level of detail is well suited to the life like colour of IPS 4K display; the resulting images will redefine your viewing experience.

To find fantastic entertainment, movies and sport for these TVs you need to look no further than the built in, award winning smart TV webOS. Access your favourite channels and catch up services plus the subscription providers; you will never be short of something to watch. So what are you waiting for, step into LG UHD TV today.

3K effectively. If you want 4K best avoided.

What do you mean? What's lacking (just asking as I want to buy a new TV)

Thanks, almost got this but no way I'm buying if it's RGBW.

Well I can't find many negative reviews. Includes the magic remote too. But still is a cracking price for the TV

Cheats the spec for 4K by sharing white pixels between RGB units thus is cheaper to make and can calim to be 4K but actually is only 3K

Does seem to have HDR10 tho so is a decent tv. I often catch myself being critical of tvs that are only ~£500 that only have 8bit+FRC and claim to be 10 bit, or RGBW panels, but if you want a cheap tv sacrifices will be made somewhere.

Well I've ordered it now. Based on reviews and the fact I can't find it cheaper anywhere else. So if you wanted one of these TV's £499 is a great deal!

Yeah it is indeed a great deal. Am considering it myself. (What I was trying convey was that it is a bargain and I/we shouldn't be too critical of cheaper end tvs)

The H43N5300 gets good reviews and that's £349.

Do you have a link?
RGBW doesn't add white sub-pixels like WRGB in OLEDs, they replace a RGB sub-pixel in each pixel.

Because of this, it doesn't even meet the requirements of Certified Ultra HD, because it is not truly Ultra HD.
I'd avoid RGBW TVs unless they are extremely cheap.
People seem to bash every TV but not give an actual alternative at the same price.

LG, 43 inch, 4k, 10bit and released this year for £500 is pretty damn good!!

Huh?! I gave an alternative @ £150 cheaper...

Yeah, I checked that but there's so many more features on the LG I felt the extra £150 was more than justified.

Yup, alot of people will prefer a LG/Samsung OS and manufacturing quality more than everything else.

So I did give an alternative...:)

Nope, but if it helps you sleep at night then yes?
