LG cheap out in the manufacturing side to produce a panel made of Red Green Blue and white this means 1/4 is made of white so your missing true colour points. The result is a washed out poor image.

Ips is another cheap panel that has great qualities such as brightness and viewing angles but they have poor control of light meaning they bleed light so dark scenes are blue etc...

Why be so aggressively dismissive? The fact is RGBW is an inferior technology to true RGB, that's not in debate. I have an LG 65" OLED - do you have one (shall I say nah thought not?). I had an RGBW panel and I noticed the difference in quality vs even our Panasonic Plasma TX-P42G20B, so we went with a QLED instead. If you're happy with your kit, I'm happy for you. There are others on this site that do not know about LG and their line of RGBW panels masquerading as RGB, most likely as found in this deal, so it's a valid discussion point.

I read the same in a different HUKD feed. I think under 55" but I too could be wrong there.

If there's one thing LG does well its produce lcd and oled panels.

I've got a uhd lcd LG 43" TV and the image is exceptional.

You can see the difference between HD and uhd on it.

I would. There is no such thing as Good cheep tv, the Japanese brands can’t produce TVs this cheap because there values are about quality, picture, reliability etc... this can’t be archived at this price point.

I've been disappointed with Panasonic, a Japanese brand as we all know, who I've always been the biggest fan of from the days of CRT to plasmas to LCDs, that are now rolling out Vestel panels in the smaller sizes...

They are forced to due to LG and Samsung destroying the TV industry with these sets.

The sets which are made by the Panasonic and Sony and fantastic and still push the boundaries of consumer electronics in what a TV can do. Take the fact they both use LG’s wonderful OLeD Panels but yet turn them into a more accurate picture
