I've just had LG 47LM620T LED HD 1080p 3D Smart TV, 47 Inch with Freeview HD and 4x 3D Glasses + 5yr Warranty, price matched at John Lewis for only £625. I think this is a brilliant deal for a popular TV.

Product Information
Ready for stunning 1080p 3D Full HD and slim enough to complement any space, the LG 47LM620T is not just a TV, it’s an all round entertainment hub for the bedroom, living room or study. Complete with super-smooth image playback, a range of online content and more - you’ll enjoy all of your favourite games, movies and programmes on a totally different level.

Key benefits:

1080p Full HD is only the beginning. With a high contrast LED panel and 3D playback you’ll see all your media the way it was meant to be.

LG’s Motion Clarity Index 400 system gives you exceptionally smooth action time after time. Great for movies and TV, it comes into its own for fast moving action like sports and videogames.

Resolution upscaling brings all your old favourites up to near-HD quality so they’ll look better than ever on the big screen.

Get online with the separate wireless dongle and enjoy a whole range of great services without messy wires. Catch up with your favourite TV shows whenever you want with BBC iPlayer or share your thoughts on Twitter and Facebook.

Dual Play means that two players can each enjoy full screen action on just one screen for more intense competition than ever before.

Save on your energy bills and be a little kinder to the environment with LG’s Intelligent Sensor system. It automatically adjusts the brightness to the environment so the display is only as bright as it needs to be.

The TV comes complete with a 5 year guarantee for your peace of mind.

Includes four pairs of 3D glasses.

EDIT: I have removed the Crampton and Moore price match as John Lewis have now matched it to Argos for £611.99!!! ENJOY!!!

Before purchasing this TV, check up the comments on this TV on the AV forums. Wouldn't advise getting this if you're a sports fan.
Marvaluss...not being funny mate, but where can you get addtional 5yr warranty for only an extra £13.01?
John Lewis will price match Argos! so you'll save the £13.01 and get your 5 year warranty! :-)

They were price matching RS 2 weeks ago for 599 when I got it

would rather pay the extra 13 quid just now for the 5 year warranty over the argos deal though!
Thats what i like about JL...they are willing to match with any other competitor as long as they have an actual branch.

AV Forums have some or other negative feedback about almost all televisions.

I own this, and it's fabulous. Great clarity in movies, sports alike.
Got one from JL for Christmas at £699 and still really happy l got one, HD looks great and the 3D works really well but the Dual Play is clever but squashes the picture so that still needs an update/fix, so this looks like a pretty good deal.
If this TV is anything like the 47LM640T you'll be fine with sports!

I had more than 7 LG TV's in the summer, 47LM760T and it was rubbish! Loads of backlight bleed and DSE. I recently bought a 47LM640T and it was great, some BLB but no DSE! Sports was fine!

I have this TV I have now Issue at all with its viewing, my only niggle is that sometimes the speaker buzzes on certain channels at higher volumes, apart from that I think its an awesome TV
Bought this TV just after XMAS from Richer Sounds for £599. Went back after an hour due to it developing a fault. Exchanged for a Panasonic for £549, and got a £50 refund. The Panasonic is a much better picture quality, but found £10 cheaper still last week in Costco.
The LG has quite a few reported issues (check AV forums).
Have the same TV and very happy with it. SD, HD, 2D, 3D works fine and looks great. Pleasantly surprised with how well the smart stuff works too. Plays all vids from my NAS.
can you use any generic wifi dongle with this tv? what's the best way to set up wifi so it can stream HD/3D videos etc?
Most of the so-called "faults" are usually minor...people tend to really exaggerate these and when one exaggurates, others (who never noticed such a fault) will suddently try to DELIBERATELY look that fault in their tv too and when they find it, they too will post on forums complaining...this way the cycle goes on....

An example of this is the Pansonic UT50 TV. Everyone on AVForums and many reviews said that the screen is so reflective, that the only time the tv is watchable, is nightime. I got this TV and the reflective screen is there, but not that bad. Yes, you cannot watch say a horror movie with dark scenes with lights on or during the day, but who does that anyway? The only reason i gave that tv back is because the contrast just wasn't that strong and pictures looked a bit too dark for my liking. Otherwise it was a brilliant tv.

My advice to anyone would be to get the tv of their choice, try it for a week and if you don't like it, send it back to John Lewis, whom will be happy to take returns.

Picked this TV up from richersounds Glasgow on Friday for £499.95.

They were selling it for £569.99 but managed to get them to price match John Lewis's price match for richersounds original sale price at the beginning of January.

Great TV.

Completely agree.
AV forums has some great advice and reviews but if you listen to everything said on there you will probably never end up buying anything. I have had this TV for several months now and I think it's a brilliant picture and the sound is very good too for an LED
I have this TV and its excellent.
If John Lewis price matched Crampton and Moore for £625 when this does not include a 5 year warranty why do JL include a 5 year warranty because it is not matched as CM charge more for 5 year warranty? If they have done this deal wouldn't the Argos deal be better at £611?
I bought this from John Lewis and its great!

Does anyone know when/how the warranty arrives?
Voted cold as i got the newer model with built in wifi for this price at christmas
Edited as John Lewis are willing to match to Argos

Thank you!! Lol
Makes me laugh how this gets to 200+ degrees and mine gets to -33 even though my deal makes this one possible lol.
I should just put 'John lewis price match' before any deal i post up!
I get sick of this JL Price Match stuff - why don't they just offer decent prices in the first place? Presumably so they can rip-off all those who can't be bothered with the b/s surrounding price matching.

I pointed your deal out to bargainhunterz ! lol and got a sarcastic message! lol
Hi, have ordered the 47lm640t through currys still waiting on delivery...paid 650 didn't realise they price matched at JL anyone know if they got this model in...?? Prefer to have 5yrs warranty with it. Thanks
Ahh well, as long as people get a bargain thats all that matters i guess
I got the last lg 47lm640T in currys yesterday and the TV up and running, picture is stunning when playing a DVD and on most channels
it does reflect quite alot if near a window during daylight and some channels the picture is very grainy
Im not sure if that is to do with the Motion Rate of 100hz compared to the more expensive 670T being 400mz
I havent had a chance to get the 3d going yet, but was stunning in the store when i watched it
Overall not a bad Tv for the money
' though did notice a crack in the back plastic near the hdmi slot, so will be returning for a replacement when more stock arrives
or posibly going to get the 55" or even another model if i dont like this after a couple more days.
I have adjusted the settings via online links to 'perfect settings' but still some picture channels are blurry, just watching some MTV channels now and they are quite blurry, though when switch to bbc1, 2 ( currently snooker ) its perfect.

Where'd you get it from then coz I can't see anyone out there currently selling the 640 at that price with 5 yr warranty?
Is the 24p problem/bug fixed with firmware updates? and is the panel actually 100mhz?
Amazing TV set. Purchased for £650 month ago and still can't believe how good it is!
I got this tv, no problems at all so far (about 1 month in). This a great budget set if you ask me which will fill the gap until OLED becomes a bit more reasonable. Heat added
Even though this is a great tv, i still think the Samsung UE46ES6710 is a much better deal for only £699 from John Lewis with 5yr warranty.

It has 400Hz motion, Smart TV, 3D and pretty dark blacks.

Europena law states the TV is cover for 5 years witout warranty.. they might go dump to.. so worth less then.. £649 @ amazon..
The fault my TV developed was not minor. The screen failed, a complete line of dead pixels running from top to bottom, about three inches in from right.
Not LED - it's LCD. There is a big difference.
