The LF510V is a 300PMI model which I think is a rebadge of last years LB510v. Still though the fact that this set has motion processing at all should put it head and shoulders ahead of the box standard LB5500 which is a 2014 model.

I did. I also bought the Sony KDL40R453CBU from John Lewis. I've been comparing both for the sole intended use as a screen to watch HD content from my PC over HDMI. I am choosing to keep the Sony over the LG due to it having the following cons:

- build quality feels cheaper and is overall less aesthetically pleasing
- leaves a black border with the PC
- only one HDMI
- sound quality is decent but not as great (although I'm really not audiophile, so this is a laymans perspective)
- MOST importantly the picture quality is noticeably inferior to my eye compared to the Sony.
- no extended warrantee

The only positive it has over the Sony is that the LG has more 'impact' due to its larger size.

Thanks 88HP

I am actually confused about this and LG-49LB5500 currently £289.00 with VIP Discount instore from Richer Sound, but because of lack of reviews on this I am really unsure at the moment.

If anyone in the know, could compare the two please.

Thanks

Does anybody know if the LF510 supports video playback from USB devices? The LB550 states it does but the LF doesn't specify
