1 hdmi? Good price otherwise.
I don't know why they make a 49" TV and only put 1 HDMI port

Because that's all that some people need. My TV is fed from a Home Cinema Amp that has 6 HDMi inputs, so I merely have one cable to the TV, all controlled from the AV amp.
1st usb port - chromecast power supply
2nd usb port - external hdd or mem stick usb 3.0
Would have been useful
Waiting for a smart tv to come down to this price
1 HDMI lol what a silly spec how much does an extra port cost?

Ffs the old Hyundai screen from 2006 I bought (that still works) has 1 hdmi you'd think things have moved on since then & yes I get some people own AV amps but let's face it a majority of consumers don't.

If they've cut costs on the ports it makes you wonder where the other savings have come from....

Cold from me I'm afraid
Slightly bigger version available from currys pc world for the same money. Looked in store at one and even though it says 1 hdmi port, this actually 2. Still not an amazing number but better!

Thanks for that. What was the telly like in your opinion? I'm off to read some reviews; I always like to know how sd stuff looks- they don't show you that in the shops.

I've got a toshiba 37xv635d at the moment and it's slowly dying. I love the picture on it though.
I always find that shops rarely have content to bring the best out of their display TVs. Obviously it isn't quite as sharp and vivid as the 4k £1000+ TVs, but for the price it looked very good.
Showing as 299 for me?

The one in this deal looks like it has a massive bezel, whereas the Currys one looks much thinner.
Currys = 660 x 1128 x 55.8 mm (H x W x D)

This one = 657 1108 x 80cm.

50LF561V looks so much nicer than this one
maybe spend the money you saved on a hdmi switcher? who cares if its only got 1hdmi, can you watch more than 1 thing at once?
Before you get too excited I'd check whether it has any audio out at all. I just took back a 43in lg from Argos because there was no way to connect a soundbar or your HiFi. From the model number I suspect this is the same but bigger

Now that is naff I can deal with 1x HDMI by using a HDMI switcher, but not having anyway to output the audio is a big no no for me.

For someone not looking for connectivity I guess its a good price
Good price for a 49in TV, but lack of onboard HDMI is a bit ****, bloody good if it's just going to be used for one thing (like a games console) or if you can deal with using a hdmi switcher.

Not just that, the lighting in big stores is atrocious, completely ruins the picture. Related to that, the TVs get put on stupid max-contrast, max-saturation settings so they aren't washed out by the lighting, and stand out compared to others nearby. Also, you can bet the manufacturers that give the stores the best deal get favourable content/lighting/setup.

All told: big chain stores are an awful way to get an idea of the quality of a TV.
I highly doubt people who own proper av equipment and aplifiers even buy complete budget tv's. So 1 hdmi is pretty rubbish

I can confirm that the currys one has a 3.5 mm jack, I checked especially due to some lg's missing them!

Some soundbars only seem to have optical input and bluetooth so a 3.5mm won't cut it on those.
This TV is really inexpensive for branded set this size. But the stupid legs means I can't purchase this one due to the width of cabinet required!
bought this at this price 4 months ago from argos.
The only thing ppl care about is size
Dont know why but a great quality / pvr / high motion rate is must for me even if it's 32inch
These bad builds never offer warranty for more than 12 months because they know the quality
I would stay away from low spec huge tvs

Would you buy again at this price?

I always say size doesn't matter ...

Seriously, is this no better (other than the Freeview HD) than, for example, the Digihome 49" for sale £100 less?
