Just ordered mine this morning and came to post deal and you beat me to it. Missed out on the 50" Currys one at the weekend for the same price. Mine is coming Saturday morning.

Im not aware of the picture quality, the the spec sheet is quite impressive.

there is also the 50 inch LG from argos for £349 however that is 300hz

Exactly my thoughts. I have no clue which TV is the best for around the £300 mark. Whenever i think i see a deal, some nay-sayer throws a spanner in the works regarding PS4 compatibility or the built-in OS.

Think it depends on how much heat the deal gets, plus the reviews from purchasers on the seller's site, plus a goat sacrifice in your sky dish.... I've gone through a dozen goats but still never got the sign from the Gods to make the plunge.... Must need more goats....

So you're telling me I'd have to spend another couple hundred quid to add some more HDMI ports?

Could just spend a fiver on an HDMI switch..

The rates are LG motion rates, not real refresh rates, think these are really 60Hz refresh rate panels.
Google 'LG motion rate' and a fake refresh rates site will be listed all about this. All this said my current LCD is only 50Hz so still an upgrade!

All LG's 2015 mid range models only have 2, splitters and switch boxes are cheap enough these days.

i sure will get over it, can't miss what you never had!. Had LG TV for 9 years and still going strong. bought this is to replace my crappy 32" Panasonic viera one in the lounge. half the time it won't turn on. had for about 6 years! Won't buy Panasonic again.

Buy cheap Panasonic, buy Vestel.....Buy cheap LG, still buying LG. My current LG50LB650v is ok for the money but not too impressed with the LB585.

So to be clear the true motion rate of this to is 100Hz? Sounds damn good to me.

2HDMI's is rubbish. Good price though

Love this deal

Anyone buy this TV? And use it with a console? I'm after lag input thoughts

Can anyone give any advice as whether this TV is ok? Looking for a new everyday one to replace 7 year old lg TV, only used for watching TV so don't need anything over the top x

Not a UK model then?

All manufacturers use fake refresh rates. They just use their own 'technology' to measure them so it seems more legit

2 HDMI ports , no good to me current set up
My 6 year old Sony has 3

Does anyone know what the picture is like? I bought my parents an LG HDTV recently and the way it handles moving images is just odd. They don't appear natural, and it almost looks like the foreground image has been superimposed against the background, making for a very strange visual experience. Even with blu-ray! I don't think I could trust an LG TV again

Guys I'm stood in Currys Wednesbury and they've got the LG 50LF580V on at £399, was that the weekend deal?

Is it a clear winner or am I missing anything?

Just bought this to today from Argos, there is no tru motion option, feel cheated!

2 HDMI ports and not even 4k for £400 a good deal?? Not really a great deal this tv the motion rate is nothing to shout about either. Its good but not making this a good deal. Much better TV here currys.co.uk/gbu…tml same price

Look for input lag reviews if your concerned about that. If not sure go for plasma or Sony as they all have low input lag. Not saying others don't just they always do lol.

Here is some comments regarding the model you are looking at. It doesn't have the WEBOS for smart apps which may be a good thing as I don't like it although it is quicker than the old system. Grab the remote and have a play. Personally I don't like the user interface on the new LG's. Old models were better as are Samsung. LG have taken some common uses of the remote and ruined it. It won't affect anyone who uses a skybox or similar to operate the tv and change channels etc

The F580 has 3 hdmi ports which should be the minimum on all tv's in my opinion.

You didn't by any chance buy your parents and LB650 model did you. It really doesn't process some SD programmes very well. To the point I have to change channel on mine. This is a tv that is best set up properly and not left to one of the set menus. I have a link to set the tv up properly.
