The price is coming up as £649 for me. Only £4 but still...
The price should be £649 not £645 (note this is also the same price as it is on Amazon UK).
difference between this and Currys LG 49SJ800V - other than the more appealing stand (and I know Currys is £849)

Thanks
10 bit panel? Real HDR? Refresh rate? 😋

There is no difference the curry's 49sj800v is identical exceprt for price the curry's 49sj810v is the one with the different stand and 8 bit+frc panel

Ha
It’s 8bit + FRC but is RGBW. Pony up the difference and go for the 850v instead
I bought this in black friday deal from richer sounds £599 fantastic tv excellent picture across the board even SD had to tweak setings a little but now the picture is brilliant and the black levels are also very good. There has been lots of arguments going on about this model in other threads weather it is true 10 bit panel and RGBW or RGB all i can say is whatever turns out to be correct the picture quality on this is superb and if it is RGBW then this Nano Cell technology must be brilliant. Also the motion is excellent too brilliant watching the rugby and soccer

Nope. The only LG 10bit screens are their oled. Will dig out the email from their customer support.

(This relates to the 850v but answers the question about 8 / 10 bit)

Thank you for your query regarding your 55SJ850V

This model TV is 4K and supports a resolution of up to 3840X2160P. so as long as the source is 4K the TV will output at that resolution.

I can confirm this model does not have an RGBW panel.

Only our OLED models are full 10bit panels, all of our LED models are 8bit + FRC

And this feller got this reply from a LG technician not LG customer service

Hey guys ...

I got in contact with LG technical support and not standard customer service surport and I had an actual LG engineer send this important information over to me today .

It was to clear matter up that their seemed to be confusion with ''SJ'' model 800V and 810V !!!!

I own the 49SJ800V model and it is in fact a native 10bit pannel and not 8bit + FRC .

Also another matter cleared up and I'm going to email /speak to Sachin Rai and proper LG engineer to double check as it clearly shows

This pannel is RGB and not what some people and articles other forums members were quoted and claiming from sources and blogs on the Web that it's a RGBW pannel .Even better !

As I said I'm going to double conform it's a RGB pannel as well here is what he kindly sent to me remember this is the
49SJ800V model and not 810V were they are using a different pannel as that model was or is Currys exclusive.

I keep hoping I'll get one with all those specs below £600. I reckon in the sales something will come up
all i can say is that its a great TV, i plugged in the xbox one x and even that says it does 10bit gaming! this TV also supports Dolby Vision as well so an even bigger win!

I have done that update, had to do it manually from the LG site using a pendrive!

Heat! This is maybe not the best deal for the tv overall but the best deal at this moment in time. Personally I’m waiting for £599
After reading through the various threads on this tv, did people finally get a definitive answer on the 10bit vs 8bit question? I was originally looking at something like the Samsung Q7F, but this LG seems a pretty good tv for the price, especially for gaming, and its a good deal cheaper...

Not sure what to do now

I'm learning towards this LG now to be honest. 10bit vs 8bit aside, there don't seem to be many negatives with it and seems to review well with the folks that have it.
Note that Amazon have put up the price of this from £649 to £730.80. I too am waiting on the price on this to drop to £599 but if it doesn't drop soon, I may wait to see what the 2018 models offer. The technology in TVs advances so quickly that it may be better off waiting for the newer models.

Currys had their version at £599, but now back upto £849
Hi guys, I got this from John Lewis a few weeks ago. If you buy it you will not regret it.. I bought this for my Xbox One X and it is mind blowing at times. Although I don't currently have much access to 4k HDR content (need to upgrade my netflix!) I did watch Blue Planet on BBC Iplayer in UHD which makes full use of the resolution and HDR and oh my word, it is incredible.

Very excited for when all content is played at 4k HDR as standard now!
