I picked this TV up 9 days ago and felt this was a good price at £729 from the £849 it advertised online. Using with Sky for everyday which looks great. Dolby Vision on this model for select movies/box sets is mind blowing. Sound isn't bad on this model but did lack a little on the base.

One annoyence would be blacklight on dark scences, but then OLED isn't available yet as a 49".
Web OS 3.5 is just stunning, easy use of Plex, Amazon and Netflix.

This model is exclusive to Currys but a 55" upwards available in many places.

Comes with a 5 year warranty too.

Any decent non-rgbw panels in 49" for £649 that you can recommend?

Hisense 49N5700 is prob about £500 and is full 4k. I think they have a few models that are all full 4k. With hdr.

And that's not the only one. Thats just the cheapest. Could get a Sony xe80 for this price from argos and that's not even a deal.

Cheers. I don't get it though, this TV is 4k 10 bit with HDR and Dolby Vision.

Tbh. The resolution is 3840 x 2160 so I'd of thought its full 4k myself. But I'm no expert, I just saw that someone else said it's RGBW panel...
I don't actually think this TV is an rbgw panel as it had the full resolution, but I think only lg do them dodgy panels and will put them in most, if not all of thier budget low end tvs. so I am simply avoiding all LG unless I'm willing to spend more for the higher end 4k models.

Just do a little research on RGBW panels n that should help you out

It can be a minefield I suggest using Google reading up on rgbw. On hdr. 10 bit and 8bit+frc
This LG is 100% rgbw

I got the sony from Argos but with the additional 10% off when the code was nocking around making it 589... the same tv was £799 in Currys (I went to look at them as they have a large selection and the pushy salesman tried to get me to buy this) its a fantastic tv has android play to.

Which gave this 72% and a best buy. "Picture quality is very good. The colour and contrast balance are impressive, especially for 4K HDR footage, and motion is fluent". Was also 5* for HDR picture. Heat from me.

Same price in John Lewis with 5 years guarantee included and 5 years accidental damage cover for additional £65...

It's true that this screen is an 100% RGBW but to me It's not a deal breaker:
1- It have a good price for the features
2- It's an IPS pannel with 120Hz Native refresh rate
3- It's using nano cell technology (Better viewing angles without picture distortion)
4- The input lag is one of the lowest on the market which is very Ideal for gaming.
5- RGBW consume less power than RGB if the power matters for you.

I'm not saying it's perfect but for the price I think it's a good deal for gaming Compared to Sony 120Hz Pannels which are above 1000£
