Displayspecifications website seems to claim this is a full 120Hz 10-bit panel? Only thing is its IPS... very good viewing angles however I assume contrast levels won't be as good as VA equivalents. Thought it was a decent price regardless.

Stuck between getting this or the £1199 Sony 49XE9005 (10-bit, full array backlight) from John Lewis (price match)

  • 4K Ultra HD HDR
  • Catch-up & 4K Streaming with webOS
  • Picture quality: 100 Hz
  • Tuner: Freeview HD & Freesat HD with Freeview Play
  • Connectivity: HDMI 2.0.b x 4

UPDATE: Just rang LG to confirm specs and the guy says it is actually 8-bit + FRC. Supposedly all their non-OLED TV's are this? Couldn't even confirm its a 100-120Hz panel, either. Shame.

So seems display specifications may have wrong specs?

Hmm, looks like the Sony is my only option then
