£566 does appear at checkout, thanks. Seems a really good price for a nano tv?
Well that's me badgered...

Gutting for you. I was waiting for Hisense 55 U8B to hopefully drop to this region but reviews on the SM8500 seem good and very goos at this orice. Offer stops today
How does this compare to the SK9500 which is a 55" and on offer for £666
Great price have the 55inch version sound is amazing pic quality good but 1year warranty. Would buy if had longer warranty

Everywhere I've seen this info, SK9500 is considered superior in terms of image quality and image features. The newer TV has the latest WebOS version if that matters.

ok i feel like an idiot. also its a little confusing from a buyers point of view. but i thought the ebay 10% had applied and thought the ao price was already 10%.

it says get this item for 629 in the auction with ebay vouncher so i just assumed it was added in the cart. instead it adds the ao vouncher automatically and thats where i got confused.

ive contacted ao and ebay but im sure they will just say its my fault for not adding the code.

so anyway. this TV is an absolute steal at £566. im still happy at £629, just a little bitter i could have saved more.
If its any consolation I too would have missed the extra discount had it not been pointed out. Not sure why this model has the extra 10%.

I just purchased. I think we both have a good tv. I only have freeview and NETFLIX feeds so should be more the adequate.

the freeview play was the deal breaker for me. none of the samsungs come with that.

sm8500 has full array dimming and nanocell. sk9500 has local dimming and IPS. personally i would rather new technology over old every time.

Says local dimming in the lg website which by my checking is edge lit too.

Where did you read full array?

I think they both have IPS.
SK9500 was the top non OLED TV from LG last year, SM8500 is far from that .
The only thing that is better for SM is the WebOS 4.5, maybe a faster processor too .

There are reviews for both on Rtings and SK scores higher
