Offering 4k Ultra HD resolution for stunning viewing, the LG 49UF680V Smart 4k Ultra HD 49" LED TV delivers high quality entertainment. It includes built-in WiFi to make connecting to the internet a breeze.

4k Ultra HD resolution

The 49UF680V boasts 4k Ultra HD resolution that packs an impressive 8.3 million pixel onto its 49" screen. This provides you with the best possible detail - up to four times the resolution of Full HD.

The IPS technology means that everyone gets a great view of the screen, wherever they're sitting. It delivers stunning true colour from any angle, so you can enjoy all of your content.

It also includes a 4k upscaler that converts lower resolution entertainment to near 4k standard. It uses a six-step image processing technology to upgrade the images, so you can enjoy everything in high detail.

Feature packed

Because it uses edgelit LEDs, the feature packed UF680V is slimmer and more compact, taking up less space whether you want it mounted to the wall or standing on a unit.

The smaller chassis doesn't mean you're missing out on features though. The UF680V includes Ultra Surround, a clever system of directional internal speakers that gives you the feeling of a full surround sound without adding speakers.

Building on this, the UF680 also has six different sound modes that let you choose the best mode for the content you're watching, choosing from Standard, News, Music, Cinema, Sport & Game to get the best levels.

If you do want to add a sound bar to your TV, the UF680 has Wireless Sound Sync so you can easily pair it with any compatible LG Sound bar for immersive and impressive audio that won't take hours to set up.

Full webOS for smarter viewing

The LG webOS Smart TV platform means that you can enjoy the best internet content on the 49UF680. It provides a whole new way to watch entertainment.

The full webOS platform is easy to use, so you can enjoy simple and intuitive use. Enjoy catch up TV from BBC iPlayer or movie streaming, browse the internet from your sofa or choose from a range of apps.

You can even stream 4k content from providers including Netflix, Amazon Instant Video or YouTube, so you can make the most of the TV's technology.

The UF680V is Magic Remote ready (sold separately), which means that you'll be able to use your TV's Smart features smoothly.

return it, as you should have at least 7 days. remember yiu bought it as a present :-)
currys has a terrible returns policy

read the which review that I normally go by. had an lg and returned due to screen banding, maybe have this is different but I wouldn't risk it myself.
2 HD connections. personally, I prefer to be able to plug directly in to the tv rather than use an adapter
I'm on the fence, really like the look of this. It has everything but the 2 HDMI and 1 USB are the only thing that's holding me back.
Is this HDR

You can get the 49UF695V for the same price. 3 x HDMI, 3 x USB.

Is the usb 3.0

Nope.
I have the LG 49UF690V and think its excellent - used Netflix and Amazon native apps for 4K and I'm very impressed

I thought you'd found what i needed, this one doesn't come with WebOS though and this other version of smart seems to be quite limited
Hmm 690v still only 2 HDMI but 2 USB (1 x 2.0 and 1 x 3.0).

+ 5 year warranty for £499 ...
i think its all about hdr thats what major film companies, amazon, netflix will be producing content in...
anyone know if this has it?
I've just bought one of these johnlewis.com/joh…490 It's a rebadged LG 49UF770V. For an extra 30 quid you get 3 hdmi, magic remote and 5 year warranty. Pleased with it so far.
any decent 49" LG 4K TV out there with central leg? I need one that would swivel left and right

It looks like it does have WebOS.
yeah but it's an old, old version from what i can find.

But that seems odd when the 680 and 690 have WebOS 3. But then i can't find the 695 on the UK LG site so maybe it's not intended for UK interest.

I've now also been introduced to the RGB vs RGBW debate... (i.e Samsung vs LG war)

Looks like the 690 stand will go on my current TV unit either Anyone know the width of the feet?

Webos on 695

Went to have a look at this yesterday at currys and the LG rep was there so had a chat and to be honest its a no better picture than my 5 year old LG in hd mode (slightly better in 4 k which is limited at the mo) ..........We chatted a while and he said it was to try and corner the market in that price bracket I suppose if you just want a big tv then its ok....then we looked at the oled range (a lot more money) But Wow!!!! If you enjoy watching movies/sports ect then this range is fantastic.....Save up and enjoy!
Bought the similar version of this tv from Argos. Returned it after 7 days for a Samsung 6400. Much better. The rgbw pixels give the picture a washed out look. Also was near awful for gaming due to high lag. The white patches near the edge on a dark scene were more white than black. So happy I paid a little more. Samsung comes with 4 HDMI inputs, better picture quality, and better for gaming. I would avoid this if I was you... Stick to which reviews and similar.
