Flatpanelshd measured it at around 54ms. OK, but not outstanding. There may have been firmware update since then that improved it

I suspect it's to cut production costs. Also most people don't use them all.
Games console, TV, Blu-Ray and that's it for me. The TV input runs through my xbox so only needs one port for them both.
Also worth noting you can get £30 off with O2 priority.
It's now clearance so get them while you can! I'd heartily recommend - I bought this during Black Friday for £650 (although only cost me about £570 after Quidco cashback deal). It's not perfect but for the price it's amazing for a 49 inch 4K 3D Smart TV.
So hot I just bought one! Thanks for the posting theyiddo
Does anyone know if this upscales from 1080 to 4K?
Have the 2014 model of this, absolutely fantastic TV!

Hot as hell at this price!

All 4k TV's do otherwise you'd only be using a quarter of the screen!

It does however upscale very well.
I have this! Its awesome. Not tried out the 3d bit yet as thats not what we got it for, we wanted a smart 4k. It has a microphone too so you can tell it what HDMI you want and probably other stuff. Have said 'hello, how are you' to it and is answers back!

Wasn't sure about this as its not always mentioned. Cheers
i got the 55" at New Year and love it - considered OLED but cost too high for 4k and 1080p just didnt cut it. Love the set and waiting for WebOs3.0 to come out. Rumour has it you can get HDR upgrade in future too - anyone else aware of this?!?
Hi guys I've got the none 3D version of this tv and everytime I switch it off it forgets my wifi details, little bit annoying in this day and age. Anyone else have this problem with LG and if so found a remedy? Thanks in advance

The firmware allows you to turn HDR on for Hdmi sockets 1 and 2. In all honesty though I've been too busy enjoying 3D to try it. If anyone links a small HDR file I'll try it after 10 when I get home.

Had a very similar problem with my Sony TV. Try giving your TV a reserved IP on your network, this fixed my issues.

So this HDR thing sounds expensive. Am I going to have to rebuy my TV, Bluray player and whole Bluray Collection??

You don't need HDR, its an advancement on UHD but isn't compulsory, likewise you don't 'need' to replace your blurays but you might want to. You will however need to buy a new Blu-ray player to play UHD discs and currently they aren't cheap £430 for the cheapest, a Panasonic - the only other one currently available is a Samsung and its £600!

£3,48 at your local Toolstation. Excellent night light
Whoops sorry wrong deal
I've got this TV. Really happy with it apart from streaming content from my phone. The tv struggles with HD videos and also poor at streaming showbox, movie HD or cartoon HD. The way around this is to use the chromecast.

That the problem with mirrorcasting, it has nothing to do with the TV, miracast struggles with large bitrates.

Yep that's the one; different source but verbatim same wording. So webos 3.0 out in May - we shall see but if we get that and HDR this to will be awesome! Just need Kodi side load now...:)

I can only find toggles for ultra hd now. Possibly a grey moment.
So this TV doesn’t have HDR out of the box but will be HDR enabled with a firmware update? Is that even possible, I thought HDR was a hardware and software upgrade.

If your connected to 5 GHz Wifi that could be the reason, some devices lose connection on the higher channels so drop the 5 GHz channel on your Router to the lowest it will go (ie: 30/32/34) as that fixed the issue for me on this TV.
Runs mint. Set up the picture using a couple of you tube videos. For expert one I use ld the AV forum settings. For expert two I used the Calibration with Darko setting. They were more fiddly and time consuming but I think they are superior .

I'm not sure - there's bound to be a website that will compare the specs for you - but I've no idea if there has been a side by side review done online. One thing to note is that this tv has 3D (if you want that feature), whereas the Sony doesn't.

I went to Currys today and compared this TV to the Sony KD-498005 comparing them side by side I'd say the Sony seemed to have a slightly better picture quality and comnectivity imo. The front of both TVs is nice with the LGs back looking slimmer imo. I asked the young sales lad which is better and he started comparing the sales slips and said LG, i asked him why and he said just seems better!!! I must also mention that in the 30 -mins it took him to find a remote and eventually navigate around the LG menu it froze twice, I'm not sure if it was the remote batteries.

Now I'm back to searching for a TV.

What source were they using to dem these? Did you get to see them with Freeview, FreeviewHD, 1080p or was it 4k only? Would be good to know how they compared at different resolutions. Thanks
