Does it have 2 or 3 HDMI? Spec is a bit confusing.

2x HDMI 2.0 + 1x HDMI ARC on this model according to LG specs from their website and Currys

But I have seen reviews saying 3x HDMI 2 and 3x USB 3.0 where LG states 2x USB 2.0 and 1x USB 3.0

This or the Samsung JU6800? … This or the Samsung JU6800? http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/samsung-ue50ju6800-smart-ultra-hd-4k-50-led-tv-10135507-pdt.html

I had the same dilemma yesterday... But I was also saying all the time to my wife: If the 850v go down to ~£700 for Black Friday I will wait! Because other models like that Samsung will be in that price right now anyway when 850v was solid £800+

AND look, it's £649 today
Yes!! Reserved
Been waiting for a decent LG 4K all week.. I've reserved this as it the best so far but still unsure, might be better about tomorrow Black Friday is a minefield !
Do I hold out for tomorrow or buy today and if it drops in price again or I decide on another tv, return this one for a refund?
I was waiting for black Friday but at this price I'm going for it just to save the stress of tomorrow! Don't fancy having to sit on a tv in the middle of Currys to stop thousands of shoppers from taking it out of my hands!

Just called him, he only reserved 770v because out of stock in local stores - maybe we just cancel his and take 850v instead, same price!
reserved!

The Samsung will get HDMI 2.0a and HDR update. Will the LG?

It is not stated anywhere by LG but I believe they won't let only Samsung to have 2.0a for long and will enable them in the Firmware update as well.
I've reserved while i investigate if this can record. Ideally the Samsung 7000 will come on sale somewhere tomorrow

That's what I'm hoping for
Why so cold? Looked like a good deal to me and reviews seem OK, am I missing something?
Can't believe this isn't scorching hot! Amazing deal and for the price not sure it can be beaten. There are cheaper 49 inch sets but not with this level of features.

Advertised as having timeshift on LG's website so will record. Just reserved at my local store. Only thing is it 1" less. Does anyone think the wife will notice if I swap it with our 50lb650v

Unfortunately yes! Thinking of selling the 50lb650v? Might be interested if you're local..
Bought yesterday for £649 awesome TV great bargain and the picture is amazing don't wait buy it now!! Samsung aren't great just sent a faulty one back last so LG TVs are the ones to buy!!!
Also bought yesterday, very very impressed with this TV - Surprised it didn't get more heat!
Also bought yesterday! Seems good TV and big big step up from my LG 42LB650V 2014 which was slow. Also the chap in currys did say if it drops in price again with in the 14 days just go in on that same day price is lower with receipt and they will refund the difference.

Seems like a really good deal. Does anyone know if it can play MKVs via DLNA? What about 4k files over DLNA?
15% casch back on quidco which make is £551. ordered
5yrs warranty included....
I've gone for this too over the Samsung UE48JU7500 thanks, tried quidco too lets hope it tracks
great great TV, i got the 60 inch model...
the WEBOS2 it has is the best interface ever for TV and the remote is AMAZING.
It also have the Google Movies now.
Best buy i ever made!
Absolutely wounded I paid £799 for the 770 model 6 weeks ago although it's a great TV..
Is this better than the Panasonic TX50CX680b? Although the Panny is £50 cheaper and an inch bigger. Not fussed with the 3d.
exactly same TV but without the 3D

and £100 cheaper
Can somebody confirm whether the samsung has / will have HDR? Can't find much about it

If not I'd say this is better value for money...

The 49UF850V has a PMI of 1600, vs only 1000 on the 49UF680V.

Isn't that LG's own measurement of how good the picture is?

its hot quick the tv processes changes in the picture so if you watch sports or fast paced movies the 3d one will process the images quicker which would be expected considering its offering 3D

Primarily refresh rate, but yes overall picture quality. The linked 680V is the entry level model of the 4K LG sets vs the 850V which is the top of the range in this size class (48-50"). Thats not to say the picture quality on the 640/680V will be bad or much less than the 850V but more than the 850V has much more additional functionality (HDR, 3D, magic remote, etc, etc) I did a u-turn on the 850V at £650 as I dont need said functionalities the 640V at £499 was what I needed as so purchased.
