Very good picture with Passive 3D, comes with magic remote and smart features. Good sound quality with 2.1 speakers designed by Harman Kardon.

Price had been inflated to £899 recently but back down to a more reasonable £599.

Currently TopCashBack are offering 10% on LG TV purchases at Currys (so £49.91 available as it's minus vat) for the next 4 days, so that gets it down to £550 eventually. Not as cheap as it got in Feb, but I don't have a time machine

Got mine ordered for delivery on Saturday, so hope this helps anyone else who may be debating on whether to purchase.

Another £100.00 and I will bite, not interested in 3D what does this have on the 770v?

It's basically the same tv with the addition of the passive 3D. For the sake of £21 (cheapest 770V appears to be £529) it's not a bad deal if you want 3D (and the passive 3d on this has been well reviewed).

Sorry just realised that Argos have a deal on the 770V, so the difference is a about £75, so yeah it's all about whether you want the 3D or not.

and a 5 year warranty...but how likely the TV will fail in years 2 to 5?

i really don't care about 4k in the slightest, but I've lots of 3d movies but 49" is too small

Think the 850v also has higher wattage audio. 40w vs 20w. I have the 850 and it does have decent audio for a thin tv

Theres some discussion on the differences between the 850 and 770 here. avforums.com/thr…e-3

The 3d on this (mines the 55" model) is brilliant, only bettered by OLED c6 upwards imo. Releasing 3d on crappy 1080p sets with active glasses is what killed it off, if it was released now it would take off.
Some people had received dodgy sets where they get cross talk on top quarter or bottom but mines perfect.

I agree, 3D on 4K TV's is stunning and a mile away from 1080p sets,

How cheap did it get in February? Can't remember it getting cheaper than £599.

Looking on the Price Spy history, it showed up as £499 on Feb 6th, but it doesn't say if this was at Currys / PC World or possibly a refurb on Amazon.

In the description it states this is has a 10 bit panel... surely this is damn cheap for a SUHD 4K 3D 10bit HDR Panel!?

Can't remember it being that price. We bought it around mid January in the sale for around £650

I had mine from Currys in January for £649...
Awesome bit of kit ... Superb picture and sound....
Perfect size for my bedroom...
Also as one of the other contributors said on here the 3d is really good on this 4k tv... A million times better than my old Samsung..
Only thing I hate about his tv is the Smart Remote... Pile of poop....

It is widely reported on AV forums that all UK SUHD LG TVs are true 10 bit.

If thats true, then it makes it cheaper than the KS7000 for the cheapest 10bit panel.. but some of the reviews do not favour the HDR much prob because of the brightness not getting up to 1000 nits

This is 8bit with FRC however the human eye won't be able to tell the difference between that and true 10 bit.

The brightness is the biggest difference between this and the Samsung, so while this will go as bright as last year's oled sets, it won't look quite as bright as the Samsung. However, Samsung doesn't do 3d, has stupid wide legs, build quality on a lot of sets is shocking, inferior sound and I prefer webos.

There is plenty of evidence from people speaking to LG that states that all 2016 SUHD TVs are native 10 bit.

S21 review of the 55inch version in depth REVIEW also confirms it's a 10 bit panel

I have it, it's deffo 8 bit with FRC.

Don't forget, it's LG, they have plenty of form for misleading people, for example they claim the uh 6100, uh6400 and uh6800 are 4k.

How can you tell?

We have this TV and I can't recommend it enough! The 3D is out of this world and the picture is amazing! We paid slightly more back in November but are still astounded to this day with it. Best buy.

It is 8bit but 2bit dithering ... its almost as good as a full 10bit panel which is why theres lots of confusion on it etc. The TV is brilliant btw .. ive got 2 of the 55'' ones and 2 friends have one too. There might well be a voucher about to get the price down further ... there has been in the past

annoyingly .. can't find any vouchers ...

Are you serious? That smart remote is awsome. As too is the o/s

I read that currys warranty does cover when moving abroad. Has anyone claim the warranty after moving abroad? Is it good or bad experience? Tempted to buy this tv but I'm going to move out in August.

TopCashBack are doing 10% on all LG tv's from currys so potentially £59 cash back on this if I'm correct! quite tempted to bite at this point...

It's just under £50 cashback (they don't pay on the vat).

Cheers for the info! Still well worth it I'm thinking... not sure weather to bite now or wait until prime day and hope for a decent sale then...

I bought this TV just recently and I love it. Bought the popular 55 inch Samsung UEKS7000 at the same time and honestly the cheaper LG model is what I prefer for all round entertainment and ease of use.
I only bought it for the rare 3d capabilities and was pleasantly surprised by the all round quality for the price.

i have the 55" and its a quality TV for the price i got it. I use this with my PC and it holds up well with gaming etc. 3D was never really something i was into, maybe just the early examples of it not being so great but am quite impressed with the 3D on this. Sound from its decent enough for your casual watch when you dont want to get asbo using the amp. Yes, theres plenty of misleading info to whether this is a 8bit + 2 or 10bit panel, but to be fair i think you would be hard pushed to tell the diffrence, great tele all the same

Shame Curry's only accept 5 vouchers per online transaction, otherwise you could buy 12 x £50 Curry's vouchers at Morrison's (hotukdeals.com/dea…954) to get a rebate of £75 in Morrison's vouchers, then go via TopCashback to get 10% back (ex VAT) when buying an LG TV at Curry's. That would have brought the TV down (assuming the cashback cleared) to £551, with the added bonus of the £75 to spend at Morrison's.

If you can be bothered to do this just using the max 5 Curry's vouchers, you can make £31.25 back in Morrison's credit plus potential £47.92 from TopCashback.

Wich is the better of the two ?
Hisense 50 - Inch Widescreen 4K Smart LED TV with Freeview HD [Energy Class A] this was posted yesterday
or this One thanks

I was tempted by this or the larger version, but some of the reviews say on live sport there can be 'banding' when the camera pans. Has any one on here experienced this on either this or the larger model?

I have one of these TV's and the picture quality is very poor, not sure if it's a fault, no body seems to know? Trouble is if a picture has a lot of detail like a check coat, the picture flickers see youtube.com/wat…5A0 Hair strands appear to be grey streaks. Anyone with the same TV experienced this problem?

I'd been waiting for this one to come down in price for a bit. Purchased it yesterday after happily seeing it drop in price.

It is an awesome TV. Previous TV was an LG 3D 1080P one i was always very happy with that. This one new one is obviosuly an upgrade and very pleased with it.
