Whats the difference between this and the 49UJ630V? £60 price difference, but I can't tell what else from Currys' spec pages.

The 670 has local dimming, 1900 pmi instead of 1300, extra hdmi socket, the outer panel bezel is grey and blends in a bit more, the 630 is black

Presume that all means the 670 is better? By a lot or a little?

Hard to say, but as price difference isn't huge, and not buying TV every year, even little is better.

For everyday 4K sky, 4k blueray, 4k local usb 3.1 streaming, the 630v is fine, you will see a bit of difference whilst streaming content eg: netflix, rankuten, google play with the 670v due to the compressions, again, nothing big, they both have hdr 10 and the format vp9 for 4k YT streaming, which is where you will see a slight difference with the local dimming, but some people say that LD just makes the whole screen content look brighter in a dull room, currys, richer sounds and the normal #experts# will say otherwise of course!!!

If you can get johnlewis to match the co-op price while it is on offer [was £10 cheaper cyber week] and get the 5 year warranty, the 630v will more than do the job, spend the extra on the LG magic remote [2017 version] out of the savings and you will not need a new tv for many years!
I'm after a new TV, but I already have a 4K TV in the living room with a Apple TV 4K. I am just wondering do I really need Dolby Vision on a TV to get HDR on my movies? Or can I just buy a normal HDR10 TV and my ATV will play HDR films in HDR10 rather than DV? The TV is for the bedroom. I went and looked at some TVs in John Lewis and Costco the other day. I was more impressed with Panasonic and Samsung on the lower end and the LG SJ80 was on the same level, but cost a lot more. I don't want to fork out just for Dolby Vision.
These of screens are rgbw though so you're not getting proper 4k
