A decent 4K TV posted off the back of a similar deal. Get £150 off by joining and becoming a member. Then get an additional £40 off with code CP40. The membership costs £1.

So, top TV for just £459 plus £1.

Stacking the discount does work because I've just done it. Shop about, but this TV is around £649 elsewhere and has very good reviews.

Enjoy!

This got true hdr10? But more importantly, is this any good at upscaling SD and HD?

Here's a handy Web site that might be able to help.... google.com

What’s that I’ve never heard of it? Does it tell me? I’m also curious if this has wireless connectivity...

its got both Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10 (*and HLG when it becomes available)

it is 10-bit .. but its actually 8Bit+FRC panel , so not technically a true 10 bit panel. but for this price you would't be getting a true 10-bit panel.

i have the 55inch version of the 750v and it upscales SD ok. (considering how bad i have seen SD on some tvs)
but of course HD stuff looks way better.

hope this helps, as i found there to be a serious lack of information on google before i did my purchase.

Nothing you can buy right now has 'True HDR10', that's still the preserve of experimental displays in laboratory.

In terms of the HDR hardware with the most influence on picture quality it's likely to have a wide-ish colour gamut for an LG (not as much as the SJ series and slightly below most other brands, but better than their lower UJ models) but a completely useless local dimming system.

Basically not good enough if HDR is a high priority.

You can't have the CP40 discount and member discount, it's one or the other

You need to become a member from the link in the description. That costs £1, but is obviously well worth it. The checkout page will then ask for your membership number. Also add discount code. And BOOM! Cheap ass TV!

I had the 43" version of this and the SD upscaling (imho) was terrible. So I imagine the 49" would be worse.

The backlight uniformity was bloody awful too.

Looks like the 49 is sold out now

Totally confused I've got a grand to spend so can you television buffs tell me what to get. Ps Mother always said if your going to have one HAVE A BIGONE but what one

Possibly, I've only been trying to understand HDR for a year or so and there are plenty of people out there were a far greater understanding than mine.

It would be helpful if you could explain why though.

I was worried they'd cancel the order but it's on its way. Really chuffed.
