Yeah think I'll go for this one too. Anyone know what Hughes are like and what the warranty is are on these?
I have this TV and bought at £314 - this is an amazing price for a great tv
I've just purchased one too! After many months of holding out! This will go nicely on my man cave!!! Many thanks for posting!
Has this got the Apple TV app ?
Anyone know what the main difference is between the 7100 and the 7400? Went for the 7400 in the end as they seem to of been sold at more retailers for a higher price.

I found a comparison on zkelectronics and they’re pretty much identical . The 7400 has trumotion 100 which the other one doesn’t apparently . The stand is the only other obvious difference
Someone just got in before me to buy the last 7400, bravo!
Tempted
I know nothing about TVs. Can someone explain if this is good and good value? Tempted to bite!

You wont be disappointed for the price anyway best TV I've ever bought the layout is amazing. 2 family members bought it for £400 off very I had 20% code off so £320 for me. I would advise getting the magic remote it doesn't come with the TV but I got it for £33 on amazon makes big difference.

I’m sure for £279 for a former £449 Tv it’ll still be a great buy for many as long as they have realistic expectations for a TV at this price

Are you sure? If so, wouldn't buy this on principle, as your not getting a 4k screen. LG are sneaky
This TV from LG was given just 61% from Which Magazine, they say it’s LG’s worst TV of 2019.

Good price though!

64% on Which, “LG can do a lot better!” Is the headline.

Averages 4.7 out of 5 from 1091 user reviews on google . That’s pretty high
LG 4k TVs are terrible for handling dark scenes from a wide viewing angle. I would pay a little more for a far superior Samsung 4k TV.

Well from my google search i found that the 7100 screens under 55" are rgbw which means they are not proper 4k resolution, im going for a samsung 7020 or a sony model if one pops up cheap enough cant go wrong..
Thriftyswifty08/01/2020 10:49

Thanks for that 🏼

not all lgs are bad im sure even this one must be a good telly but you can get better for the same price even a hisense 7500 would be better after reading up.
Any word on warranties with Hughes on eBay? Their website says most of their TVs have a 5 year warranty but not sure about their eBay store.
I went for it , it wont be our main TV but for just over 250 I think it is worth getting. Heat added.
You’ve got to love this site , you get a cracking telly at a cracking price yet there’s always someone telling you you’ve wasted your money and bought a piece of junk

Nonono! You've got a few things mised up. RGBW does NOT mean it's not 4K resolution. This TV is 4K resolution. Resolution is how many pixels it displays and this is definitely 4K. What you mean is it's not a good representation of HDR colour with rich blacks. It's completely different. Yes this is not OLED (the best type of 4K panel you can get) but for the price, there shouldn't be any complaints on this screen. Ideal for a bedroom TV, not a living room (especially if you have a nit picky sibling in the house who will constantly complain about the blacks being grey )

I didnt say they aren't 4k i said they aren't proper 4k 😁, but yes makes more sense the way you put it thanks 🏽
Having webos is worth the money on its own. Buy a Hitachi or similar for the same money and the smart functions are pants. Great price for an entry level 4k tv, it's fine for a lounge if your not an arse.

It’s not. All 7X00 series use the same panel.
