Anyone know if this TV is any gd?

It's good for a budget set, especially on the software side. Panel quality is better on the 60" and 70" sizes as they use different panel types. Viewing angles are better on the other sizes (incl the 49") but colour and black levels are worse.

2019 LG were supposed to get HomeKit and Airplay 2 but it seems they decided not to for UK TVs:

But according to Amazon reviews the main problem with this TV is the OS is so slow you can't even type into text boxes properly.
That other deal a couple up from this is way better, it's got an extra inch. If you want your marriage to last, well, you'll want that other one.

Got a source for that? John Lewis and Richer Sounds both show Airplay2 and Apple TV for their 2019 LG TVs.

Apple Airplay 2 and Homekit compatibility will also be added by a forthcoming firmware update.

Which isn't coming any time soon
I think it’s already come..
