From me also, got this TV on NYE's for £499, thought I got a good deal then, super TV

Great price. Can't wait to finish work and buy one.

shame that 4k TVs don't look as good with 1080p as a standard HD LCD

which store did you saw in this price. location please

does this tv come with the magic remote and what is 4k like with live sports ?????

Does it have a satellite tuner built in too?

Does it have smart function ?

Certainly has.

I just got one in Sprucefield Northern Ireland store so possibly national.

Don't get sucked in by 4K. Great price for the TV. Heat added.

Seen this in braehead Glasgow sainsburys too. Had lots on display

It's the new resolution standard its not a gimmick like 3d or curved tvs.

does this have hdmi 2.0?

No he's saying don't buy this cheap TV just because it's 4K. Buying these 4K sets because they're cheap is defeating the point.

You'd get a better picture on a 1080p set for equivalent price or cheaper.

Wait until plenty of 4K content is available to buy in Bluray format. And wait for service providers to give 4K as the norm.

By then 4K TV's will have developed EVEN MORE. OLED will be out and mainstream. Only then will it be worthwhile upgrading.

I'd rather spend my notes on a high spec 1080p set.

WOW great find . just need to sell my 42"LG3D tv and LG3D dvd player .

I totally agree,im gonna stick with my 42 LG 1080p fat as funk bezel TV until more content is available. My home WiFi is so slow I can't even stream 1080 haha so why waste my money. I'm waiting for the riddler to beam it into my brain!!

Mega heat, it's dropped by £100 in less than two weeks.

Great bargain. I love mine

The 4K is only worth it if it supports Netflix 4K and other similar formats and has 400+ response time.

8k is on the way

do tell

Wow just bought one... Still 5 more left in Chelmsford Sainsburys CM2 5PA

I'm no expert on these things but people complaining about no 4K content seem to forget this TV upscales blurays and TV programs to near 4k output. Everybody who has bought it seem really impressed and the amazon reviews are good as well (model number 42ub820V) just need to convince the wife we need a new TV

Can anyone explain the point of 4K TV's at this moment in time ?

I'm struggling to see the BBC4K channel anywhere ?

i wonder which fools bought these 4k tvs 6 months ago at 1500.hahaha

4K isn't worth the investment yet.

Are you going to watch a few GoPro videos on YouTube? and some upscaled films on Netflix?

Wait a year or so until 4K is the norm.

Upscale lol... enough said.

Sky and VM upscale 720p to 1080i

we need the clowns to pay silly prices so the rest of us can get the deals

4K in a year or so X) and the rest

There are quite a few AV receivers that Upscale to 4k and reading results they seem to do a cracking job. So 4k TV is worth considering still at the moment

I'm not sure what it is you people don't get

This has 4,000k's!!!!!!

Yes, p's are later in the alphabet, but there's typically only 1080 of them

Then you need to replace your router (probably free from your isp) with a decent one. The free ones are very almost invariably very poor.

Agree with the point about a 1080p tv for the same price being better quality, but this is a good deal for a 4k tv, so have some heat.

Lots in stock at the Deepdale Preston branch. I've just come from there. I'm after a 55" or 60" tv.

Considering there is no company that broadcasts 1080p yet, it will be a long time.

You need a bigger screen to appreciate 4K from a distance though, so unless you're 6ft away or less from this screen it'll not matter whether you're looking at 4K or 1080p. Consider that before buying a 4K TV.
