HD TV 1080p, 50 inch (127 cm) 16/9, 120Hz, Freeview, HDMI x2, USB 2.0

Biggest selling point - only 28ms input lag.

So I've recently been looking for a new TV specifically for gaming. I don't do great at online twitch games and have been putting this down to the God-awful 70ms lag on my current telly. =(

So did some research and came up with this telly.

You can probably get some Quidco back, I used a -£25 voucher making it £504 but that's expired now.

For reference I have this TV now, it arrived on Friday, First one I got had a damaged screen, Pixmania replaced it within 10 days surprisingly bother free.

Things you should know :

- You might want this TV if you're main use case is gaming, you might be able to find a more featured TV but I don't think the latency will be this low.
- The Pixmania page is a bit wrong, it says 3 HDMI, I only see 2
- It's not a native UK telly, it comes with a plug adapter - it's a non-issue
- But as a result the auto-channel tuning does not show UK (it seems to be Eastern Europe countries), I assume this won't be an issue if you're on cable. Personally I don't watch TV so it's a non-issue for me. I am unsure if the auto-tuning is freeview or standard aerial or what.
- Language is in English so despite being non UK there's no language issue
- The audio on this isn't great, it's passable and loud enough but you might want to link to another audio out if high quality audio is your thing
- But above aside, as a large 1080p low latency console gaming TV it's spot on

If you're interested the input lag stats for this screen can be seen here : displaylag.com/dis…se/

28ms which although there are quicker it's up there and pretty great.

The issue is finding a low lag TV in the UK. I could not find any unless I wanted to drop a grand or so on a Sony.

So from what I can see this is a bit of a special TV if you want something gaming focussed.

I guess its more a reflection on the Uk market, finding one in the US is easy - hence I suppose why this one's an import.

a couple of sonys are under 16ms,but for 50" u looking at £750 ,or a 42" for about £500.
im really close to buying a sony but its only got 2hdmi and hasnt got 3d like my current LG(but lag makes online almost impossible)

couple sites i found have it 33ms
also saying it has bad motion blur

Cheers, the w656 is 50" too. Would have been tempted to plump up the extra £250 for the 16ms there, 28ms is rather good but 16ms is right at the top end.
