Shame. Don't like Plasma. (Don't really know why, TBH. Just don't) I'd have had this otherwise

How does this compares to the panasonic-tx-p50gt50b? I'm in the market for one, while £600 price match from JL looks a good deal.

Can't understand the people who say they don't like something but have no reasons or justification for not liking it.
That's insane.

I don't like tea cos I don't like the taste and smell makes me feel sick. I feel the same about Italian cheese.
You probably don't like plasma TVs cos somewhere inside, you believe that you may be buying outdated tech or you feel that one of those myths n rumours about plasma TVs may be true.
Plus in most stores, being very brightly lit, they're not demonstrated properly and end up looking inferior to the over saturated colours of the led set on 'vibrant' mode.

That Panasonic has image retention problems. Stick to LG.

I can confirm JL will price match, just ordered.

If you follow the john lewis link in post 7, go to the review on the page and the reviewer, dated May 17th, says that there is no built in wi-fi and a dongle is required?.

Someones wrong?

Would rather pay £240 more and get the 60 inch version which someone posted on here the other day.

why did you feel the need to post and tell everyone that? It's almost as useful as those saying they dont like plasma... Who cares?

Plasma zaps twice as much power to the equivalent led

Plasma zaps twice as much power to the equivalent led

This is true, but if it costs you 20p a day to use your LCD television, you are only going to pay 40p a day to use your plasma TV, and people are willing to make that sort of sacrifice.

Anyone know of any cheap glasses for this TV. Its the only thing putting me off right now

I don't like plasma...
Mainly because active 3D gives me major headaches, so had to go for an LG passive set.

This is a great deal though, was considering the 660V range when I was in the market myself, but ended up going for a 690V due to the above.

£580.90 … £580.90 here...http://www.tvandvideodirect.co.uk/lg-50ph660v-50ph660-50-inch-razor-frame-plasma-smart-3d-full-hd-wi-fi-television-with-protective-glass.html

You wouldn't want a 5 year warranty for only £20 more?
Also, reviews on that company aren't great.

Well done, you must have done a lot of research to come up with that theory.

Reading threads on here sometimes is like watching a live comedy gig where the audience have an average IQ under 100, are drunk and is full of hecklers. It ain’t pretty.

Honestly that's half the reason I come here. I rarely buy any deals.

I think it's disgusting that there isn't AT LEAST 2 pairs of 3d glasses included in the cost of one of these tellys

It's actually MORE than twice as much.

I was lucky enough to see Bill Hicks twice which set the bar pretty high for comedy. Laughing at retards from my perspective is for people who are also retards but just not as bad as the ones they are laughing at.

Have been looking for a 50" TV for some time now and tempted by several deals here on HUKD. Have never taken the plunge due to the fact that I know the week after I do a better deal will be posted! This one could be the one but where is the benifit in price matching with JL when RS offers a 5 year guarantee too?

Not factually correct, if you we're to do your research it amounts to about £5 more per yr than a standard LCD/ LED

600 hz on a 50" TV = Blurry
Pay a lil more n get a better set, the picture compared to a 2600hz TV isn't even worth comparing
