Yeah, £15 more than what Amazon was charging before they increased the price to £469.

The price on Amazon has now gone up to £469 with still the 1 to 2 Month delivery time.

Time to change the title again, 1920x1080p is Full HD
So no need for the HD Ready text I'd say as that could suggest it isn't Full HD, I know the title now shows the resolution (1080p) but all confusion is started with a title

I got John Lewis to price match Richer Sounds for £469 so comes with 5 year warranty as well.

Amazing price this is now. It's not just cheap, it's damn good too. The colours are accurate, ansi contrast is strong, and it's great for cinema.

One big downside: it's very reflective. If you watch scenes with dark stuff, eg movies, you should do so with no light falling on the screen - that means heavy curtains/shutters in the day.

Make sure you put the correct settings in for this & don't just stick with the default, makes the pic MUCH better

Most plasma's are. The Panasonic S20 is the same. If you're in a bright room you're best opting for LCD or arguably better still LED.

It's Dixons.
Won't there be something wrong with it? oO

Most plasmas have an anti-reflective coating though, of varying qualities (the G20 for example is excellent).

The pk350 has no anti reflective coating at all though, it's just straight glass. That's not all downside - the coatings actually compromise brightness a little, so if you do use it as a darkroom movie screen it's actually a (small) plus. For daytime viewing though, the picture quality in dark scenes is massively compromised - it's the most reflective HDTV I've ever seen.

As for settings: I've measured a few of these and other LG pk models, and expert1 is always the best of the defaults (as in lowest colour errors and best greyscale). Movie is worse, and standard is a lot worse.

Kind of on two minds on this... I had bought it for £650 from Currys just before Christmas. I ended up taking it back because it had bad image retention and the blacks were a bit meh - I could live with it but when the set had developed its third dead or stuck pixel (a big dirty red one right in the middle of the screen) I took it back and demanded a refund. However, people's reactions and reviews to this set seem to all be really positive, so I have no idea if I had just got a duff one or not...

The image retention issues largely disappear over time - perhaps not for people who watch 24hr news channels a lot, and especially not for gamers I imagine.

This is basically the same as the well regarded LG50PK590 minus one or two bells 'n whistles ...

Bargain as long as you don't want Freeview HD or intend to plug lots of hdmi devices into it - would be ideal as a bedroom/gaming TV.

That's why I had bought it, for gaming. I'm tempted to get again just hoping I get a better panel...

I play a LOT of COD on this TV on my Xbox & it's an excellent gaming panel.

I paid £600 for this before xmas, plus paid an extra £60 for 5 years warranty from Richer Sounds.

Had to get them out a few months back to cure some buzzing sounds (really really bad), which seems to have resolved it (they swapped out 2 components).

Excellent TV, especially at this price

Yes, that's a good review. I found roughly similar figures for colour accuracy and contrast. As above: it's a terrific screen for home cinema use in darkened rooms, where reflections aren't a problem.

how then hell did you do that i am really struggling
i orderd one through amerzon for 439.99 but canceld it coz of the 1 to 2 month wait
please i really need help on this

Richer Sounds put price back up to £499 but John Lewis will match and include delivery and 5 year warranty in that.
If you were not aware, one can request a price match online at johnlewis.com/hel…spx If not fussed about the warranty then Dixons at 470 with 3% quidco best bet.
I believe various other companies doing 499 inc Tesco and Pixmania.
Can you believe Amazon quoting 1 to 2 months for delivey !!
