Amazon beat Argos price? hahahaha

Aye but they wont be giving you a £10 argos voucher

Why they put only 2x HDMI ???? I need at least 4 ! Hopeless

Free delivery with Amazon makes it a better deal (for me)

arghhhh so torn now. Was going to buy the 42inch samsung LED, but this is the same price now.

Gonna buy this and see how bad the reflection issue is that people have talked about in the reviews

A swticher is like £10 so that is issue that is overcome easily

I took the plunge with this tv and I have to admit we're really pleased with it; it is what it is a good tv without any bells and whistles.

Don't think this would fit, where I want it to go, so why am I still tempted!!

Who delivers this for Amazon nowadays ?

Last TV I ordered from Amazon was Yodel who lost it (_;)

I'm tempted I must say.

Yes I like how Yodel 'lose' things.

I ordered a Panasonic from Amazon, the first two arrived with cracked screens. Complaint to customer service got me a 15% discount so went for a nicer Samsung.

City link delivered the TV but I suspect the damage was done prior to courier, the polystyrene protecting the Panasonic was 4 corner pieces leaving the screen unprotected, the Samsung was almost in a polystyrene cocoon in the box!

Would overall recommend a tv from here, quick delivery, superb customer care if things go wrong and great prices.

This is a great price for a 50" full 1080p plasma by the way, heat added!

Did you try it? Cause I did and it doesn't work

Hot! but have you seen how much it is for the 60"!!!!!

hot!!!!!!!!!!!

Excuse my tardiness - but could I play mkv files through the USB port?

If not, and it's DivX - is there such a thing as full HD DivX files? (converting bluray/mkv to DivX?)

Thanks/Sorry...

Yes, driver says I 'lost' it when out for delivery, but when I found it somehow it was un-boxed and hanging on my living room wall at home. How strange!

Refresh rate pants!

I have this TV for a month now. The black level is not great, but color is good. I use it only for TV and movie. Connected with WD and Now TV's boxes, it functions like a smart TV. LG's UI is quite user friendly.
TV's not very heavy for a man, and the power consumption is just above 120W, not a big deal. Looks very nice in sitting room. Reflection might be a issue if you use in bright room, not a problem for us. With such a low price, no regret!

Also nothing wrong with delivery from Amazon, and Amazon's after-sale is simply great.

Does this TV have Audio Return Channel via HDMI so I can control sound volume through my amp?
Thanks

Refresh rate pants!

Whats the refresh rate all about then? Are you talking the 600Hz thing? is that not 2 or 3 times faster than most of the newer smart LED's etc?

I don't know much about TV's but I've just ordered one of these from Amazon so I'm very interested!

Thanks

From the research I've done, this doesn't have the ARC facility.

Love plasma. My Samsung 42" is now 7 years old and has worked without a hitch.
Very tempted as an upgrade of screen size, full HD and Freeview HD

Same as me. I do wonder how much extra I've spent on electricity because of it though! I've told myself no new TV until I can afford a 4K OLED one...

4K OLED? You'd better prepare to re-mortgage or sell a kidney then.

Buy an amp you idiotic gypsy. Cramming the biggest tv you can into your caravan and forgetting everything else does not make you cool.

It's not as bad as you'd think.
Being on most of the day for my 7 yr old inefficient plasma would cost 50p (@11p kw/h)
I worked it out based on getting a more efficient TV to save money, but given it's not on all day I would say average cost p/a to run is £80. to get a decent telly costs at LEAST £400, so thats 5 years then.

I have both the Samsung LED and the LG plasma ! To be honest the LG Plasma is far better in quality all round.
It does cost a little extra to run etc. but that is like saying Marg. or butter ? lol at the end of the day I love the plasma

Yeah. 2% off (five pound something). Not worth it!

Great price, and at 600hz I cannot understand anyone complaining about the refresh rate? Ridiculous lack of HDMI sockets though, would expect 3 if not 4 on any modern branded tv.

You know as well as I that tomorrows 4k is today's 1080p. It'll be standard in a few years, and sure, I imagine OLED will be a bit extra for the next 5 years or so, but once yields are up it's just economies of scale!
