Strange with all the cold votes, since the last post for this was at Pixmania for £700. Without the 5 year warranty aside this is the cheapest you can get it for online. Oh well.

I would recommend getting the LG 50pq3000 from either richer sounds for £599 (standard warranty, no delivery), or £699 from john lewis with free delivery and 5 year warranty...

also, you can upgrade the 50pq3000 to the 50pq6000 model with only a few clicks of the remote too! the difference is the 6000 model has divx playback enabled from an attached usb stick

these are hd ready tvs too, which means 720p, ratherthan the ful 1080.

lovely tv though, ill never go back to plasma after buying mine

Good price for the TV at Richer sounds but I think a lot of people would find it hard to take back a 50" screen with them unless, they had a BIG car as such. Also for people who just watch normal standard def broadcasts, 720p is fine. Try find a decent 50" full HD TV at this price..

i agree fully. 720 is fine for 99% of the time. most ps3 games are 720, skyhd is 720.. only blue ray disks really use 1080p

im not going to vote hot or cold on this deal as it depends on the situation, i tend to think pay £50 more and get the 5 year warranty with delivery from john lewis.. then cross fingers it dies 4 years down the track and they give you a replacement!

edit: actually, going to vote hot. because it is a good deal, it is just a deal that doesnt suit me, but will suit other people!
