Enhance your entertainment

Lift standard definition TV shows to near 4K quality for a whole new way of viewing with the LG 50UK6470PLC 50" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV.

Whether you're watching online, catching up on a soap, or playing some old school Crash Bandicoot, the UK6470's features LG's unique upscaler and advanced HEVC technology to bring a new depth and quality to the shows and games you love.

With Active HDR, you'll get scene by scene image mastering for amazing picture reproduction. Everything will look vivid and life-like, with richer, deeper colour.

Great audio to match

It can be dissapointing when a TV with stunning picture just doesn't have the audio power to complement it. The UK6470 LED TV features Ultra Surround technology, which creates seven virtual channels for a surround sound effect. No matter where in the room you're sat or what you're watching, everyone can enjoy amazing audio to keep your TV watching experience consistent and uplifted.

Smart webOS

Forget complaining about there being nothing on TV. LG's webOS is packed with apps to keep the whole family happy. Catch that must-see drama series from ITV, settle down for a Netflix marathon in 4K, or rent a movie from the Sky Store.

And with Freeview Play you can access content straight from your TV guide. Simply scroll back up to seven days and see what show's you've missed. No more remembering to record Eastenders before you head out the door.

Discover an intelligent TV

With ThinQ AI you can enjoy a TV which brings convenience and ease to your living room. Able to listen and give answers to your questions, you can speak into the magic remote (sold separately) to instantly move around your TV interface without having to scroll. Ask ThinQ AI to launch your console, find your favourite show or switch itself off at the end of the movie - navigating your TV has never been easier.
Effortless installation

For setup without the squabbles, our Team Knowhow experts can connect your new TV to your Blu-ray player, sound bar, and other devices. They'll even get you online so you can put your feet up and start watching straight away. Pass the popcorn.

Essential extras

Want your TV wall mounted? No problem. We've got brackets that tilt, swivel, or fix your TV in place for the best viewing spot in the house. Alternatively, browse our range of TV stands – we've got enough designs to keep even the pickiest interior designer happy.

Avoid the disappointment of getting your shiny new telly home and realising you don't have the cable you need to connect your games console or Blu-ray player. Sandstrom Gold Series HDMI cables support all resolutions and come with a reassuring lifetime guarantee.

Just in case anyone is wondering, this is a REAL 4k rgb panel in this particular model, not the fake 2.8k wrgb one they normally have in LG and flog as led or oled 4k!!
Chillbo25/07/2018 21:23

No one cares when it’s a low to mid range model.

Well they should if LG label a TV as 4k when it isn't.

If you bought a low to midrange 3 bed house and then found out it was actually only a 2 bed you'd feel a bit misled.

Anyway, voted hot, can't remember the last time I saw a sub £500 LG set that was actually 4k

+1 on that little ditty
Oh and extra browie points for being a VA panel as opposed to IPS.

For the price I won't even hold the 60hz panel or lack of Dolby vision against it, in fact if you have an Xbox S it would be a cracking match.

Damn you just owned him
Whats the sound like on this. LG don't have a good rep in that derpartment ?
All the TV retailers are rammed full with big screen TV's, post world cup, hold fast and wait for the deal's to show.
Guys. Last night I ordered a LG 49SJ800V for an elderly family member. They wanted no more than 50".

This one:
johnlewis.com/lg-…135

Their previous TV is 10 years old and has stopped working. I'm sure anything new-ish will wow them. It was £529 + 5 Year John Lewis warranty + £35 for Delivery + Installation + Demonstration. I'm happy with the decision, but just for my own knowledge would the difference between that one and this one have been huge in terms of sound and general picture quality?

They are simply going to use it for Freeview HD Channels + Amazon Fire Stick (HD not 4K) movies occasionally.

THANKs so much
Any idea what the response is on this model? also how does it compare to 55UJ630V model?

Thanks
Does this have 4:4:4 Chroma Subsampling ?

Isn't the sj800 better? It supports Dolby vision and I believe it's 120hz

Not a VA panel, but IPS: "Our latest Ultra HD innovation is built into the unique IPS 4K panel meaning your entertainment is viewable from any angle without distortion"

You may be right, I'm just going by what displayspecifications says. Sometimes a 49 or 50" panel can be VA whilst more standard 55" are nearly always IPS. For example their 50" uk6300 model is found in VA form, other sizes are IPS, might well be the exact same screen here. I cba to check.

It means these tv's are listed as 50hz. And I believe, for a smoother experience...60hz is better. At least for gaming..etc.

I think the average joe will not notice the difference in 50hz/60hz.

Although im told that 50hz tv's don't exist anymore. If thats true im not sure why LG and its competitors are advertising their tv's at 50hz in the spec sheet.
