Typical cheapskate was waiting for this to be £349. Which might be ambitious. Heat added though

Nothing wrong with being a cheapskate!
I'm waiting on this model in 55" to go to £349!
Does this model have auto dimming? 8 have a Samsung at the moment, which is clear about its auto dimming tech. But it's not very clear on LG.
Does anyone know the distance from each foot on the stand? I'm not sure will fit on our unit. I prefer these with the stand in middle. The TV gets a really good review on which but will it come down some more?

993mm, it's in one of the pictures.
Now showing out of stock.

I was busy reading up on this TV. Looks a good one for the price. VA screen, good OS and remote. Pity I left it too late.
Hopefully it'll come back on again either on JL or elsewhere
Bought this a couple of weeks ago from JL for this price. Good TV, wanted LG for the kids as they are used to the magic remote and WebOS. Been impressed so far even if it obviously can't match our 65" OLED.

50" models use a VA panel. Other sizes are IPS I believe.

It's the 49UM7400PLB which is IPS. Or at least that's what I found out when I was checking out each of them.
Very good TV for the price. VA panel.
Argos have the 60" LG 60UM7100PLB for £429

That's correct with 1 year warranty
Back in stock at JL so rang Richer sounds and got it price matched but with an extra years guarantee.
Just a thought what happens 2a6year guarantees if RS go 2the wall?
Anyone know if this is better than the 49” version? Struggling to find out what the practical differences are (apart from the size). Would the 49” IPS panel be better than the 50” VA panel here?

Depends on how you use your tv. If you will use it predomindately a in a dark room and viewing head on then the VA panel would be better. If you need wider viewing angles and don't typically view in dark rooms then the IPS panel could be the better option.
VA = better blacks but narrower viewing angles. IPS = better viewing angles but less capable in dark scenes. The lighting in the room will have a big impact on the perceived darks which is why that is important.

Thanks mate!
My parents have just got the 50um7450 from currys, which from the specs looks exactly the same other than the stand is different.
Was having a go with it at the weekend, sitting slightly to the side of it the picture looked a bit washed out, and the colours looked less bold on the far side of the screen, it seemed ok when I moved to the middle. The screen did seem a bit dull and grey though and I could not get Alexa set up to work on the Alexa app, the icon didn't do anything, I have messaged LG for some advice.
I would recommed sitting close to centre when viewing this tv and also make sure you have picked one of the better presets such as Cinema and ISF Expert (I think) screen modes to start with. Also tweak brghtness, saturation and contrast as these can ruin an image if not set up correctly. Out of the box, Cinema works well for me in a dim or dark room but you may need to tweak brightness a little.
