can this be wall mounted using a standard wall mount or does it need a special bracket?

Nice deal...

Want, don't need, don't need, don't need, want , don't need , don't need, don't need, want! X)

Shame it's curved

So tempting...

It seems it needs a specific bracket according to the manual.

I have the 48" curved Samsung and have it on a normal tv bracket.

I wall mounted this using a standard bracket. It can be done. Better than paying £50 for the recommended curved bracket

Aaaaargh - this price is by far the best price I've seen for an OLED of any type. So, so tempted. Those who have it - could you tell me if it has lived up to your expectations?

Wife's on nights. Wondering if she will notice TV changing from 42 inch to 55. Or if I can blame the sleep deprivation

Yes its the cheapest but without any extended warranty its one of the worst deals for a big screen tv

Yes it has - and some ! (purchased its predecessor 55 inch 930v over a year ago @£2k+ - to replace a Panny 37inch Plasma) - best TV I have owned - the Smart facilities are impressive - compare it in action against others at a Currys

Totally agree. Bought the 930v and it's by far the best TV I've owned and don't even miss the 4k that my previous lightbleedtatsic rubbish Samsung had.

Curved = no buy
even if it's OLED.

Couldn't resist and ordered, thank you for posting deal.

Why is this not screaming hot?

Shame it's curved

Agreed, the most pointless gimmicky tech out, how does someone not watching face on actually see the picture properly ?

i have this TV and can't rate it high enough although I was against the curve design of it you actually don't even notice it's curved. (seems less of a curve compared to samsung and other curved tvs)

Ah, really wish the 4k version was on offer too Cheapest I can find that is £1699 at John Lewis

You guys do know how slight the curve is on curved TVs, right? Anyone would think they are shaped semi-circular....

I'm assuming its one of the ones with webOS 2.0 (2015<), so maybe not getting Freeview Play, and 50ms input lag. Those being the only downsides to this TV.

Currys have it for click and collect for £1599 with 5 yr warranty.

I've got this last week from Hughes for 1299 with a five year warranty. I upgraded from a 10 year old Samsung plasma and the Oled picture is outstanding. Takes a little setting up (I used the settings from AV forums). The curve is so subtle I don't even notice it when watching.

While an extended warranty is a nice bonus it's never been a deal breaker. I have owned 4 LCD TVs, only the original Hitachi one broke (two of the lighting tubes blew) and that cost £2k and outlasted any 5 or 6 year extended warranty. My sharp TV is still going strong at my dad's house, my Sony after that is with my little brother and my Samsung is doing just fine.

An OLED TV is probably the only thing I'd get in place of my Pioneer Kuro

That's the most legit thing I've heard on here. I loved the Kuro's.

any 40'' 4k oled? would use as a monitor

great price I would get but its just a tad to big need a 49-50"

High input lag on oled TV's make them pretty pointless as gaming monitors.

I'm holding out for the Samsung 34-inch CF791 Ultra-wide due out soon... 100hz, freesync, 1440p, quantum dot...

Can any of you audio/video buffs recommend a decent 55" HDR HDTV with little input lag (for games) under a grand?

I have the 930 ...great tvs....great picture

Curved = no buyeven if it's OLED.

Can you substantiate this wild statement with any facts?

Another LG 55EC930V OLED TV owner here and I too thought curved was a fad and it took me ages to finally decide on the 930 as a replacement for my ageing Panasonic plasma but took the plunge last year and haven't regretted it one moment. The curve actually slightly improves the viewing experience adding some depth to the picture and the picture quality is massively impressive and appears to get better with time.

Great price - great telly! Heat

sbstantiate my opinion? why? but if you want to know why I said so :
Curved TVs are just a marketting gimmick, they provide no benefit over flat TVs and were designed too fool consumers into believing they are the next big thing.they failed in delivering that goal and people soon forgot about them.most recent TVs are made flat again.
