no far from it ...you want best your looking at £7,000 for 55 " oled hdr 4k Panasonic
good price but I want flat screen
I think Panasonic buy the OLED screens from LG
I gotta sell my teeth to buy this TV now
still waiting for the price to drop on these bad boys... £1200 and I'd take the plunge, but it's still too expensive
Christ help you if it goes wrong Currys are the worst i would never buy anything like this from them. I bought the LG 860V from Crampton & Moore and yesterday a strange mark appeared on the edge of the screen like a fag burn i was worried sick and i rang them this morning emailed a picture and a hour later i got a call they are sending me a new set out Wednesday, thats the kind of after sales you want.

Cool story.
So good, why must you tempt me so
We have this telly, I wasn't convinced by it being curved, but you actually do not notice it, so don't let that put you off. I bought ours before Christmas from John Lewis with a 5 year warranty, for a lot more than this price. As for picture quality, well matched with Sky Q it is frankly awesome! Sound quality is average, but I use a soundbar. Never regretted my decision to purchase this.
all these fancy TVs are crap for gaming.

Just don't tell the wife about the 1 on the front and buy it anyway.
would john lewis or anyone price match this maybe get a bigger warrenty?

Unbearable? lol and i game on a 60inch tv! (and a 27 inch monitor)
Really not worth buying a curved TV unless you can afford 80 inches. Read the reviews on curved TVs before buying.

Don't know why don't you try and report back. Oh sorry no you want someone to do the work for you.

I've never seen 4k with 3D

Really, do you live in a different universe? This one looks high definition and definitely has more than three dimensions.

Is this really a hot deal?
Buying from Currys proper is arguably a better option. Here is why:
Price is higher at £2000 but if you go through Topcashback there is a 5.5% discount so that knocks £100 off instantly.
At Currys proper, there is the extended 5 year warranty for real peace of mind
You also know the telly is definitely new.
This is an awesome piece of kit by the way and even when switched off, it is a magnificent work of art.
How much for an un-bent one?

Cool story.

Better story than Chelsea's season
Picked the 55eg920v model up from Costco for £1440 around 6 weeks ago, including 5 years warranty and 90 day no quibble return policy. See my deal history for proof.

Same screen in both the 960v and 920v with the odd difference being the 960v doesn't do HDR via HDMI, where as the 920v model does have that feature (so far the very scarce HDR content I've watched has been Netflix and from USB). The 960v does have more powerful speakers than the 920v.

All in all cracking Screen, just the retailer not the best.

Agreed. Though for me it would be John Lewis only.
would avoid this. The 960v was a curry's exclusive, the 920v is nearly identical apart from the plastic stand instead of metal however you have the 2.0a hdmi inputs for hdr
