out of stock at selfridges and yes it does have webos I've been assured

I'm afraid this TV does not have webOS

Not much info about WebOS on LG TVs out there but from a quick google search it appears the (xx)UB850V lines will start featuring it. Still a good price for a 55" UHD TV, although if you do play games I wouldn't recomend getting this one as it has a latency of 109ms.

I work as a instore demonstrator for lg and it is the old os. If you look at picture you can see. Webos is a simple line of all the smart features at the bottom of the screen not a whole screen.

As per comments on the selfridges thread this is not going to be upgradeable to hdmi 2.0
LG have stated they have no idea what they're going to do, so buy their 1st iteration of ultra hd tvs and not be able to get 4k tv content
We were going to go with the selfridges purchase but decided against it due to lg's comments

No HEVC and the LG website says it is HDMI 1.4, contrary to the Hughes site.

It also seems to only support JustScan in 720P, 1080i and 1080P. I'm not sure how relevant that is but it could mean it doesn't map higher resolutions correctly. I've not had to use pixel mapping on a TV for a decade or so but that's because there's always been the ability for it (the TV) to accept input in its native resolution.

thanks hadn't realised that

You'd be better off with the new £1500 UE55HU6900 Samsung's scaling ability, HEVC .265 and HDMI 2.0. Plus it is upgradeable via the Evolution Pack module that is simply whopped in the back of it by owners.

Selfridges have this offer at £1599 again by the way guys, ordered two this weekend! Cant wait!
