is it smart ?

Looked in the features. It says nothing about being a SMART tv.

I have one of these. Not smart - although for some reason it has a network socket.

Great picture. Nice and thin. Stand feet quite wide apart so will need wide stand. Reads hard drives etc via single usb socket.

I have upscaling network amp etc so 2 HDMI not a problem.

Considering an Android stick for it.

Stonking deal at 450 from Richersounds.

wow what a deal..great find people..im at a 32 inch being a student..but maybe one day maybe one day...*dreams* lol

Great deal as I don't need a smart tv, more likely to connect to laptop and watch from there..
but I can't decide between 50 and 55 inch tv.. I will watch it from 2m to 2.5m distance - any advice?

I got the 42 version of this TV on thursday and I am blown away as sitting 2--2.5m and feels big.
awesome TV with Full HD screen and Freeview HD and satellite HD
also has LG Time Machine recorder just need to connect a HDD to the USB port, can record what your watching or from guide
the ethernet input is for software updates and picture or sound test I think, well those are the options that come up?

Does it really have a Freesat HD tuner or just a digital satellite tuner? If it is the latter you won't get the Freesat TV guide.

it does have Sat HD tuner you get a guide pop up but the channels are in order they are scanned from satellite.
but you can use the FAV button to assign the channels you like and then happy days

I can't comment personally, but it does have a 100Hz refresh rate and a dedicated 'Sport' mode so I would think it would be fine

Anyone knows if the TV feet can be moved closer to the center of the TV? or how far apart are they?

to buy or not to buy? You will not get a cheaper 55' TV BUT is it the TV any good? Barely any reviews out there...

"FREEVIEWHD + HD SATELLITE TUNER + USB RECORDER"
11 MAY 2015
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Easy To Use, Features/Settings, Quality, satellite hd, freeview hd, time machine
I spent ages looking for reviews of this model.
Google helped me translate German, Swedish, Finnish reviews into English!
Great TV has Full HD screen with both Freeview HD tuner and Satellite HD tuner.
Freeview HD EPG guide has all the channels in number order.
Satellite HD guide shows what is on and the info.
This is not Freesat! but you get all the satellite channels but in some crazy order as scanned. No problem just find your channels and add to FAV and you can scroll through them.
The tv has LG Time Machine recorder built in you just need to connect a HDD to the USB port.
I can record from the Freeview HD EPG guide or plan future programmes to record, the same with the Satellite guide
Also you can use the USB to view movies/pictures/music from memory sticks or HDD.
The sound I found was good and I have no problems with it.
I like the thin bezel of the frame and it is dark not to stand out from the screen picture.
The funny design for the feet or legs was the only thing that I found unusual but not an issue as the table is wide enough to accommodate the tv.
The tv has ethernet connection for software updates and picture/sound tests.
I am very pleased as I was after tv without smart but Full HD with freeview HD and got the bonus of satellite HD and USB recorder is awesome from LG!
The LG website does not list the Satellite HD tuner or the time machine features of the tv which is shame as under selling it.
I would happily recommend this tv if you are after a HD tv without the smart features as some "other" tv brands only have the USB record feature on the smart models and the HD satellite tuner on the higher up models.

check out my reply to ZaGaZ about the feet, they cant be moved and are angled so at the rear they are shorted than at the front?!?! funny feet.
