the man/woman who pays the electricity bill cares

not students or kids who leave their TV on in their bedroom & fall asleep or go out shopphing/clubbing & so on

why are people voting cold? please add reason

Hot! Hot! Hot!

These LE5900 sets are top drawer. Have seen them in the flesh and are worth every penny, especially if you can get the 55" for this price.

Great find.

Voted Warm - But at this price/size I know I'd want a plasma and/or 3d...

Oh, and FFS ITS NOT LED.

See.

I said it.

is this a good price for the size? not a fan of LG...prefer Samsung tbh (live the vivid colours and have a 46" LED) always think LG's dont look that good in showrooms (though could be the source)

is this worth getting or is their better out there? Quite fancy it

No, and they wont care anyway as the oldest is 4 years old (_;)
as long as the WII works on it my sons.

what I like about this TV is. that Its 55" & only consumes 115w power. which is much better than the 37" philips TV (175w) I have in my lounge. LED or not thats a brilliant price for the size & powersumption.

My friends 42" panasonic plasma is 380w!!

too right. lol!

people would rather vote for a no brand that a company prices high then heavily discounts it to look like a bargan. i.e ISIS 42 LCD tv with rrp of £499 @ BestBuy

Lack of 3D is a shame, even if you don't like it - it's good to future-proof your purchase.
Can't see myself paying this much without that & only 100hz (which is fair). Still hot though!

Not true!

There have been plenty of £1000+ Hot TV offers, generally on good deals though - this, althought it may be reduced etc... For the specs you could/should get a massive panasonic plasma

with 115w power consumption?

Hmmm guess I'll avoid then

Not bothered about 3D tbh and if the LG Cinema 3D takes off the current tv's with active shutter glasses will be dead anyway so don't want to risk buying a dud...would be like HD DVD vs BLU RAY

Anyone got any recommendations on a 55 or 60 tv...something decent at a decent price?
